The homeowners have “snake fencing “ from critter control. I walked the yard and found several big gaps in the fence. Also, it may not be high enough. The RV gate has a broom-like material under it to keep snakes out but is ineffective. There is a gate in the Courtyard that has no protection. Besides that their yard is well kept. They just live really close to the open desert.

Checked all bushes big and small, identified some points of entry and recommended 1 very large bush be taken out/trimmed. Construction in neighboring area likely displaced the diamondback in question. Probably coming from large drain holes leading to construction area. Would recommend blocking them off but there are so many other ways for them to get in probably not going to be very effective.

I checked the front and backyard, the house has a corridor next door that accesses the desert. I found an approx 24" Mohave crossing the driveway 2 doors down. It was calm and did not rattle or strike during pickup or release

The pipe is totally sealed and a snake would not be able to go in. I looked through the yard which didn’t find anything. They are surrounded by desert with a nice wash behind their fence. They have a view fence.

They saw the snake last night on the porch called about getting fencing because of it and hope that the snake would leave by morning. They found it coiled up on the back porch this morning so had us come pick it up. Easy capture. They have an appointment with Jill apparently already for an estimate.

Snake was not watched and had moved by the time I arrived. After a full sweep of the yard I located it underneath a different plant with a lot of dead leaves bunched at the bottom. Yard was full of overgrown plants, and had many water features and sprinklers.

They sold it today and went to move it when they saw the atrox coiled underneath. It was in the 40s last night and has been pretty cold, I wouldn’t be surprised if the snake was there for a bit. They have a brick fence, an rv gate, and a drain hole. Their house backs up to a large preserve.

Lots of exotic plants and planters in the backyard to provide cover and tons of water and attract food. The couple saw one snake crawling along the fence in the backyard and watched it go under a large planter by the time I arrived. I flipped the planter over and found a second adult snake under it as well.

She called me and I went out immediately to find a large western Diamondback still on her front porch. I removed it without incident and released it into a pack rat nest.

Snake likely got in the yard of your side gate and was trapped in as the rest of the property is block wall. House is at the end of a dead-end with the wash right behind it. No sign of rodent activity landscaping was very clean, very few places for snakes to hide.

Gophersnake was dead when I got there.
