| 2021-09-18 9:30 AM | Sedona | 86336 | Blacktailed Rattlesnake | Received a call that a rattlesnake had been captured and placed in a snap top bucket by a neighbor. After driving to the location I learned the homeowner had put some small breathing holes in the lid of the bucket. Upon safely removing the lid the species was determined to be a Blacktailed Rattlesnake. Shortly thereafter the snake was relocated further along the same mountain the homeowners property resided under a concealed rocky overhang. Increased activity due to recent monsoon rains could potentially explain the snakes presence. |

| 2021-09-22 12:00 PM | Chino Valley | 86323 | None | Import info: likely to have a gate code in the future. I received a call from a homeowner about a possible rattlesnake being heard in a bush in front of house. The homeowners parents had heard loud buzzing noises coming from a bush located in front of the homeowners house and they had alerted the homeowner who then gave a call to Rattlesnake Solutions. While driving to the location I received another call from the homeowner about another possible rattlesnake being heard by their parents in the bushes across from the original, meaning possibly two animals present. Upon arriving I quickly determined that the noises were not rattlesnakes, but instead the annual cicadas singing in the nearby trees. After a thorough search of the bushes in question and the remaining brush on the property, I was unable to locate any snakes. As such, I informed the homeowners parents of the best way to reduce the chances of a snake staying on the property, such as clearing all the brush that had grown on the property as well as discussed with them various snake species they might encounter in the future, including harmless and beneficial species that are fine to keep around such as Sonoran Gopher Snakes, California Kingsnakes, and Coachwhip Snakes. |
| 2024-06-29 9:30 AM | Chino Valley | 86323 | Mojave Rattlesnake | Called out for a scute that was likely escaping from the approaching day heat. The snake was coiled next to the front door behind a potted plant at a home that was recently built in a rural area. |
| 2021-10-25 11:00 AM | Camp Verde | 86322 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | I received a call about a rattlesnake being in the homeowners garage. Upon arriving the homeowners guided me to where the rattlesnake was curled up underneath a green workmens foam knee pad that was resting at an angle above the snake. The snake was quickly captured, being easily relocated to a rodents burrow complex at a small wash within a reasonably nearby wildspace and was later verified to be a Western Diamondback. The garage was full of many boxes stacked on top of one another that offered a good hiding place for the snake. The homeowners also mentioned that they recently had rodents living amongst the boxes and that they often left the garage door open for much of the days and evenings. These factors likely lead to the snakes presence in the garage. |
| 2020-07-14 7:00 PM | Prescott Valley | 86315 | Arizona Black Rattlesnake | Found in backyard |
| 2021-09-20 3:30 PM | Prescott Valley | 86315 | Mojave Rattlesnake | Received a call from a homeowner about a rattlesnake that had slithered into their yard from their back fence. After arriving one of the homeowners guided me to the location where the other was watching the snake. Upon inspection, the animal was determined to be a young Mojave Rattlesnake which had sheltered itself next to the homeowners standing grill. The snake was quickly captured and relocated to a large rodent burrow in a nearby wash with still active pools of water, as well as abundant plant and animal life. The yard where the snake was found had many objects bunched up along the sidewall of the house which could have attracted the snake as a source of shelter. |
| 2021-11-06 2:00 PM | Prescott Valley | 86315 | Mojave Rattlesnake | Important information: gate code 5491 I received a call about a rattlesnake that had been trapped in a rodent snape trap inside a persons garage. Before arriving the homeowner had safely and gently moved the animal just outfrount of the garage with a collapsible snake hook they owned and upon arriving the animal was determined to be a Mojave Rattlesnake. The snake was delicately as possible freed from the trap and quickly captured and bucketed. Fortunately the animal was caught by the sides of the trap instead of the front and suffered no significant injuries. Afterwards the animal was relocated to a relatively nearby rock outcrop that have a small cave with a packrat nest inside. The smaller of the two garage doors had been stuck slighyly open allowing easy entrance into the garage and the cool stable temperature as well as the numerous hiding places inside would have acted as an appealing shelter while approaching the winter months. The homeowner also had issues with various rodent species, explaining the presence of rodent traps, which also could have played a part in the snakes presence. |

| 2021-09-14 6:00 PM | Prescott | 86303 | Kingsnake | Received a call from a homeowner about a snake inside the clients house. The snake had disappeared into the nearby heating vent and the homeowner suspected a possible coralsnake but based upon the location and further description it seemed more probable to be a Mountain Kingsnake. Upon arrival, the snake had left the heater vent and had hidden behind some paper grocery bags next to a standing rack. The snake then entered the bags and I was able to safely remove the snake from the bag and into the bucket. The snake likely came in through the fireplace where a gap existed and connected to the old patio on the other side of the wall. The yard provided ample hiding places and rodents would enter the fireplace from the outside. There was also feed out for deer that likely attracted rodents and all three could give ample reasons as to the snakes presence. |

| 2019-08-06 11:00 AM | Prescott | 86301 | None | Employees report having encountered a baby (between 6-12") diamondback in a common area the previous day. I did the property inspection and found several problem areas throughout the property but no snakes or obvious signs of recent snake activity. The location has plenty of shelter areas, high rodent activity, and water sources as well. When I was explaining what I'd found at the end of the inspection, the client seemed a bit hurried and preferred my writing a report for him rather than explain. It took me just over an hour and I believe he was expecting nothing more than the two of us walking the perimeter to catch anything that might be there. I don't recommend fencing as the property is too large but I did suggest several simple improvements that can be made to reduce the risk of future encounters. |
