1:30 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Guests at a community center saw a rattlesnake on a sidewalk that ran through the property. They watched as the snake crawled into a bush near the sidewalk and watched the area until I arrived. I was able to remove the snake and did a quick search of the immediate area but did not find any other snakes. This is a regular customer as the community center borders a large mountain preserve.

2:30 PM		 Phoenix 85041 Sonoran Gophersnake Yesterday a customer of the extra space storage facility saw what he said to be a rattlesnake in his storage unit. He watched it slither to the one next to his and he took a video. They showed me the video when I arrived, and it was a harmless gopher snake. They still wanted me to check it out. We opened the unit it slithered to first and it was so jammed packed we could barely open the door. We then looked in the unit the guy saw it and the snake was pretty much in the same corner he saw it yesterday. It was a young gophersnake. The storage facility backs up to the salt river bottom and the door aren’t sealed tight. It’s an outdoor storage facility.

The house is located in a newer development with lots of new construction going on around it. The front porch is gated with a wall, but has large gaps for the snake to move through. The back yard has snake fencing that was installed before the current owner bought the house. The snake was taken to open desert and released into the bushes and trees.

When she woke up this morning it was still there so she wanted it relocated because she has a dog. She lives right by a lot of desert. Her yard is well taken care of with some shrubs but all taken care of. Her backyard has a block fence and a gate. She also has a gated courtyard.

10:30 PM		 Phoenix 85054 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner called with snake in garage, or maybe trapped under the garage door. They waited until I arrived and then opened the garage door from the car. A good size western diamondback was right at the entrance as the door opened and I was able to quickly secure it. The snake was relocated into to a huge packrat nest in the nearvy desert habitat.

4:00 PM		 Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called after seeing a rattlesnake caught in a rodent box. The snap had come down right on the tail section of the snake. Katie came out and met me so that we had one person pinning the snake and the other working on the box. The snake did not seem to be injured at all but was not in a great mood. The rodent box was in front of the house, which had no obstacles near it. Relocated close by into a rodent nest.

When I arrived I was waved down by security guard who pointed out the snake to me. Noted a subadult atrox crawling past a decorative boulder. Used tongs to capture snake with no incident. Snake was noted to rattle until I released it. Performed quick inspection of the immediate area. No other snakes found.

Two large western diamondbacks were found taking cover under the leaf litter of a large bush, and a small Nightsnake was found under some pavers on the side of the house. Yard is fenced, no obvious entry points for the rather large rattlesnakes to get in. Urgent ticket placed for fencing team. The surrounding area was very developed with busy roads, and an industrial complex, and just a narrow drainage leading in and out. When I arrived, the snake seemed quite stressed, I assume from being on high alert for a very long time.

8:00 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called about a rattlesnake in his backyard. When I arrived, it was hiding in a small rosemary bush. The property was located on the edge of a small development situated between the canal and a mountain preserve. There was only one drainage hole in the block wall in the backyard, but the homeowner had it covered with 1/4" mesh. The snake must have come through under the gap below the gate on the opposite side of the home and may have been hiding in this yard for some time.

5:30 PM		 Phoenix 85044 Western Patchnosed Snake The homeowner was leaving for work this morning when he saw what he thought was a rattlesnake slither in his house. He had to go to work so called me to go search his home 7 hours later. He has a unique home and the room the snake went into was very large with a lot of stuff. After a long search, I spotted the patch-nose snake under an arcade game machine. The home has desert about a quarter mile away on two sides but otherwise is land locked with some drainages near by.

8:00 PM		 Phoenix 85045 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner called about a rattlesnake in their backyard. When I arrived, the western diamondback had made himself cozy against the wall behind a stack of roof tiles. These homeowners had just had us out two weeks ago to remove a large diamondback. They were quoted for fencing and will be getting it installed as this is the second rattlesnake they’ve had in as many weeks. I hiked the snake up the wash that it most likely had been moving up anyway and placed it into deep cover within a cave on the side of the wash wall, where it can continue making it its way up to it’s hibernation spot. They have a lot of desert about a quarter mile away. They said the trash had been there a while. They have a view fence with some desert behind them.

5:00 PM		 Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was on her back patio when she noticed the neonate rattlesnake coiled underneath a little table on the back patio. The home had a lot of desert behind them and also on the side of them. The baby rattlesnake looked like something had attacked it and bitten part of its tail off. It didn’t have a full button on it, only a little piece left, and there was a wound that was healing. The little one needed a meal but otherwise seemed to be ok. They had a block fence and one gate.

The homeowners were able to watch the snake via the ring camera while they waited in the driveway. When I arrived, the baby Western Diamondback was curled up in the corner of their porch and was no trouble to secure into the bucket. I was able to release the baby rattlesnake up on a hillside into a pack rat nest in the nearby habitat.

8:00 PM		 Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner, called with rattlesnake in garage.When she went to open the door from the home into the garage , she saw the tail and heard it rattle. By the time I arrived, it had moved from its original location to the other side of the garage and was curled up on some wooden planks under some cords. I was able to relocate the snake to some nearby desert habitat under some heavy brush on the side of a wash.

When I arrived, this snake was curled up in some lumber from an old deck, the snake proved to be a little tricky to get out of his hiding spot, as he continued to weave through the decking boards, but eventually, I was able to secure him in the bucket and relocate him into a rocky cave on the side of a deep wash.

The on-site manager locked everyone inside, bravely watched the snake from a safe distance, and I was able to safely relocate it away from this public area.

The yard did not have much usable habitat for the snake, and since this little one is only a few months old he probably just thought he found a good place for the winter underneath the trashcan. I hiked him out to the nearby desert north of the neighborhood and placed him in a large pile of sticks and landscape trimmings that were dumped out here… sad to see of course, but they make a great winter spot for rattlesnakes.

Dog alerted them to the snake (dog was not bit, did a great job warning homeowner about the snake). Yard was large and had plenty of hiding spots and the snake was likely going to spend the winter here. Took the snake out into the nearby desert and placed it into deep cover of a large rock pile above a wash away from homes but likely still in the snake’s home range. Ahwatukee

9:30 AM		 Phoenix 85045 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner opened his electrical box lid that was on the ground in his front yard and there was a rattlesnake in there. The lid wasn’t on very good and this was a very deep box about a foot and a half deep. The neonate would have never got out of there. There was a little rodent hole at the bottom where the snake was staying warm. The home was right off the South Mountain Preserve.

This yard was all cement with really no cover. There was a small shed on the cement that the snake could go inside through a gap in the door. The home is at the front of the community and the desert is a block away behind it. They have a block fence and one gate.

The garage door had gaps in the corners where the snake could go in and out. The home had a drainage next to it that led straight to nearby open state trust land.

6:00 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The client called with a report of a rattlesnake moving along a perimeter wall in the neighborhood. Client and fellow neighbor observers watched the snake as it entered a desert plum bush on a neighboring property. I arrived on scene and searched the plum bush. The snake did not immediately alert until I approached the third quarter of the bush. It was tightly coiled at the base. I was able to remove the snake without incident. I conducted a sweep of the immediate area and the area from which the snake originated from and found a large deco boulder with significant rodent structure underneath where it could have been harboring for a period of time. This client was a repeat customer.

The house was in the middle of the neighborhood with no washes or habitat in close proximity. There were gaps under both gates which would provide access but my assumption is the snake came home with her via the plant. Safely relocated to a rock pile that lined a wash.

When I arrived, the snake had gone behind their shed but its tail was visible indicating it was a gopher snake. Using a hose I was able to get the snake out and captured. Released across the street into a wash.

9:00 AM		 Phoenix 85083 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was on her back patio, picking up a cover for her patio furniture when she saw a snake underneath. She threw the cover down and went inside and did not know what kind of snake it was. The snake was still right by the cover when I arrived, it was a baby western diamondback rattlesnake. The home has a lot of desert just right across the street. The yard is very clean with not a lot of places to hide they have an all-blocked fence with two gates.

They put it in a cooler and that’s where I got it. The community is very new not even on Google Maps yet with a lot of desert around it. The home has a partial view fence one gate. They really didn’t have much vegetation or places to hide in the yard.

The snake was immediately visible upon arrival at the scene and it was being watched from a safe distance by the caller. I removed the snake without incident and did a quick search of the perimeter of the community center building.

9:00 AM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The job site manager saw one of his workers looking down into a crack between a sidewalk and the concrete base of a light pole on the job site and then quickly jumped up and ran away. The site manager immediately knew that the worker had seen a snake and without investigating much closer called Rattlesnake Solutions for assistance. When I arrived I was directed towards the site manager who was standing a long distance from the spot where the rattlesnake was spotted and was verbally directed to the crack between the two concrete structures. The snake had not moved since being sighted and my arrival. It had to be gently coaxed out of the crack. After securing the rattlesnake I did a walk-through of the perimeter of the work site to inspect for other snakes, the work site is surrounded by concrete walls with a large entrance on each end, the facility is centered in a well-vegetated diverse desert habitat.

4:30 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Caller identified a rattlesnake originating at the community mailboxes and then crossing the road. The snake eventually ended up in the front yard of a home where it continued to be watched closely by caller. I arrived on scene and was able to remove the snake without incident. \r\n\r\nThe caller stated that the property management company sent out a notice with our phone number to call when a snake needs to be removed.

3:30 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Staff called with a report of a rattlesnake moving through the grass. I arrived and witnessed the snake making its way through the grass just a short distance from where another WDB was removed very recently. I was able to remove the snake without incident. A courtesy check of the pool areas was conducted. I advised the staff that the large packrat nest just outside the pool fence should be dealt with. Additionally, there is a deep underground structure at the base of a cactus near the building that I recommend they backfill. Whilst completing the inspection, the staff called with a report of another snake. When I arrived back at that locale, I was able to identify the snake as a coachwhip and advised the staff to leave it be as it is non-venomous.

10:00 PM		 Phoenix 85054 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake I was contacted by a pest control service on behalf of one of their clients to remove a rattlesnake from a large office campus. A young Western Diamondback was seen by an employee on a sidewalk next to a busy street. She covered the snake with a bucket and waited for me to arrive. The campus is large with multiple buildings and a lot of concrete surfaces, but it\'s also very well landscaped and is surrounded by a small amount of native desert.
