10:30 AM		 Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A homeowner in North Phoenix called about a small rattlesnake found under her trash can. The yard did not have much usable habitat for the snake, and since this little one is only a few months old he probably just thought he found a good place for the winter underneath the trashcan. I hiked him out to the nearby desert north of the neighborhood and placed him in a large pile of sticks and landscape trimmings that were dumped out here… sad to see of course, but they make a great winter spot for rattlesnakes.

8:30 PM		 Phoenix 85048 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called about a western diamondback in their backyard. Dog alerted them to the snake (dog was not bit, did a great job warning homeowner about the snake). Yard was large and had plenty of hiding spots and the snake was likely going to spend the winter here. Took the snake out into the nearby desert and placed it into deep cover of a large rock pile above a wash away from homes but likely still in the snake’s home range. Ahwatukee

9:30 AM		 Phoenix 85045 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner opened his electrical box lid that was on the ground in his front yard and there was a rattlesnake in there. The lid wasn’t on very good and this was a very deep box about a foot and a half deep. The neonate would have never got out of there. There was a little rodent hole at the bottom where the snake was staying warm. The home was right off the South Mountain Preserve.

This yard was all cement with really no cover. There was a small shed on the cement that the snake could go inside through a gap in the door. The home is at the front of the community and the desert is a block away behind it. They have a block fence and one gate.

12:00 PM		 Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was grabbing some tools from the inside corner of her garage when she spotted the baby rattlesnake. The garage door had gaps in the corners where the snake could go in and out. The home had a drainage next to it that led straight to nearby open state trust land.

5:00 PM		 Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner found a rattlesnake in his irrigation valves. Able to obtain and educate on side yard debris and ways to make his backyard less hospitable to snakes. He is not interested in fencing at this time.

6:00 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The client called with a report of a rattlesnake moving along a perimeter wall in the neighborhood. Client and fellow neighbor observers watched the snake as it entered a desert plum bush on a neighboring property. I arrived on scene and searched the plum bush. The snake did not immediately alert until I approached the third quarter of the bush. It was tightly coiled at the base. I was able to remove the snake without incident. I conducted a sweep of the immediate area and the area from which the snake originated from and found a large deco boulder with significant rodent structure underneath where it could have been harboring for a period of time. This client was a repeat customer.

4:00 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was doing some backyard gardening when she noticed a baby rattlesnake in one of the plants. The house was in the middle of the neighborhood with no washes or habitat in close proximity. There were gaps under both gates which would provide access but my assumption is the snake came home with her via the plant. Safely relocated to a rock pile that lined a wash.

6:00 PM		 Phoenix 85024 Sonoran Gophersnake The home owner called for rattlesnake removal after seeing a snake in her backyard. When I arrived, the snake had gone behind their shed but its tail was visible indicating it was a gopher snake. Using a hose I was able to get the snake out and captured. Released across the street into a wash.

9:00 AM		 Phoenix 85083 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was on her back patio, picking up a cover for her patio furniture when she saw a snake underneath. She threw the cover down and went inside and did not know what kind of snake it was. The snake was still right by the cover when I arrived, it was a baby western diamondback rattlesnake. The home has a lot of desert just right across the street. The yard is very clean with not a lot of places to hide they have an all-blocked fence with two gates.

1:30 PM		 Phoenix 85054 Mojave Rattlesnake Some people working across the street saw the large mojave slither across the street and into this homeowner’s yard. They put it in a cooler and that’s where I got it. The community is very new not even on Google Maps yet with a lot of desert around it. The home has a partial view fence one gate. They really didn’t have much vegetation or places to hide in the yard.

4:00 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Account holder called with a report of a rattlesnake scooting along the north side of the community center building. The snake was immediately visible upon arrival at the scene and it was being watched from a safe distance by the caller. I removed the snake without incident and did a quick search of the perimeter of the community center building.

9:00 AM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The job site manager saw one of his workers looking down into a crack between a sidewalk and the concrete base of a light pole on the job site and then quickly jumped up and ran away. The site manager immediately knew that the worker had seen a snake and without investigating much closer called Rattlesnake Solutions for assistance. When I arrived I was directed towards the site manager who was standing a long distance from the spot where the rattlesnake was spotted and was verbally directed to the crack between the two concrete structures. The snake had not moved since being sighted and my arrival. It had to be gently coaxed out of the crack. After securing the rattlesnake I did a walk-through of the perimeter of the work site to inspect for other snakes, the work site is surrounded by concrete walls with a large entrance on each end, the facility is centered in a well-vegetated diverse desert habitat.

4:30 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Caller identified a rattlesnake originating at the community mailboxes and then crossing the road. The snake eventually ended up in the front yard of a home where it continued to be watched closely by caller. I arrived on scene and was able to remove the snake without incident. \r\n\r\nThe caller stated that the property management company sent out a notice with our phone number to call when a snake needs to be removed.

3:30 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Staff called with a report of a rattlesnake moving through the grass. I arrived and witnessed the snake making its way through the grass just a short distance from where another WDB was removed very recently. I was able to remove the snake without incident. A courtesy check of the pool areas was conducted. I advised the staff that the large packrat nest just outside the pool fence should be dealt with. Additionally, there is a deep underground structure at the base of a cactus near the building that I recommend they backfill. Whilst completing the inspection, the staff called with a report of another snake. When I arrived back at that locale, I was able to identify the snake as a coachwhip and advised the staff to leave it be as it is non-venomous.

10:00 PM		 Phoenix 85054 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake I was contacted by a pest control service on behalf of one of their clients to remove a rattlesnake from a large office campus. A young Western Diamondback was seen by an employee on a sidewalk next to a busy street. She covered the snake with a bucket and waited for me to arrive. The campus is large with multiple buildings and a lot of concrete surfaces, but it\'s also very well landscaped and is surrounded by a small amount of native desert.

5:30 PM		 Phoenix 85044 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A homeowner in Ahwatukee called about a rattlesnake in his yard. When I arrived the western diamondback was curled up in a corner of the backyard wall. The home is at the base of South Mountain and surrounded by desert with a large hill directly behind the house. There are also a couple of large rock piles and wood piles just on the other side of the fence, so no surprise there was a rattlesnake at this property. I hiked the snake back into the preserve and placed it into the deep cover of a rock pile at the base of a hill with a large drainage just below.

8:30 AM		 Phoenix 85085 Sonoran Gophersnake The crew at a water treatment facility in North Phoenix called about a rattlesnake on the property. It turned out to be a Sonoran Gopher snake, but the crew thought that it would be safer for the snake to be relocated. I looked around the rest of the facility, which had a ton of great cover. There were piles of large rocks, stacks of pallets and PVC pipe, and several con-ex structures that had exterior doors left open. There is virtually no barrier preventing any snake from the adjacent native desert from entering or exiting the property at will. No additional snakes were found.

1:30 PM		 Phoenix 85048 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner saw her delivery driver, kind of tossed her package and she was wondering why he didn’t just set it down when she went to grab the package she got rattled at by two rattlesnakes by her front door. That’s when she called me. The snake's tails were intertwined, but they were not fully locked up. I was able to get both of them in the bucket. She had a desert wash behind her house across the street and more desert beyond that and a desert little hillside on the other side of the road.

2:30 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A crew at a wastewater transfer station was moving a conex and discovered a rattlesnake hiding underneath. I had been to this facility earlier in the day to remove a gopher snake and had searched the property but did not find any other snakes. I mentioned to them that there may be snakes sheltering under the conex and they told me that they would be moving it soon. Once the conex was gone, the snake began to look for shade. It was just over 100F degrees outside and the only shade the snake could find was the tiny shadow of a 2X4 frame lying on the ground. By the time I arrived, the snake was not doing well. I put it in the bucket with some water, but it was not moving. I decided to bring the snake home with me for the night to see if it could be revived. If it is well enough in the morning, I will look for an appropriate spot for relocation.

9:30 PM		 Phoenix 85044 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Apartment complex at the base of South Mountain called about a Western Diamondback that was cruising around one of their buildings. When I arrived the snake was on the move and halfway under a bush. This place is right on South Mountain and they get plenty of snakes so the tenants and maintenance workers know the drill. Snake relocated into deep cover in a wash in the preserve.

2:00 PM		 Phoenix 85042 Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake The homeowner called for a rattlesnake in his front yard. The speckled rattlesnake was coiled on top of some grates that were up against the home in a nice shady area. The grate had a bunch of stacked rocks underneath it. The home was on South Mountain Preserve with a lot of natural vegetation and rocks around. This yard was very big and not fenced.

11:00 AM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was out in his front yard when he saw the rattlesnake just slithering through. It was headed toward a large prickly pear cactus with a massive pack rat nest in it. He used a hose to keep the snake from getting in there and it coiled under a nearby bush instead. The home was really close to the state trust land but it seemed like the snake had planned on using that pack rat nest for the day.

The young speckled rattlesnake was found curled up and never moved or made a sound during the removal. The home was located in the foothills of a mountain range.

9:30 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Received a call regarding a rattlesnake in a backyard. Arrived at the home and customers greeted me outside the gate as they were keeping an eye on it. Entered the side yard to the west of the home and observed an adult male atrox in a defensive posture. Snake did not stop rattling for the entire encounter. Inspected the rest of the yard. Yard well kept and tidy for the most part with some weeds against the home that I advised to keep trimmed back. Customers stated they have 3 large dogs and children in the home. I offered a free fencing quote and they agreed. I suspect the snake entered the yard from the gate that I entered which was the closest access point from any habitat. Brick wall surrounding the entire yard with lattice brick for drainage on the east side yard and the gate on the west side yard.

6:00 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Mojave Rattlesnake #1613 gate code. Snake was found near side gate outside of backyard. There was a neighborhood party going on watching the snake and I was able to pass out flyers. House next to natural desert wash. Snake taken out of the community and relocated into desert preserve.

11:00 PM		 Phoenix 85044 Sonoran Gophersnake Received a call about a snake in a garage. The customer stated the snake had been in the garage for over a week. The customer bought snake repellent online and admitted it must not have worked well. The customer texted me a picture and I confirmed it was a Sonoran gopher snake. Arrived at the home and was met by the customer outside of her garage. She pointed out the snake that was under a shoe rack against the back wall of the garage. Captured a snake with my hands with no issue. Snake was a medium-sized juvenile. Inspected the rest of the garage no other snakes found. Inspected the garage door seal and it seemed in good shape. I suspect the snake made its way into the garage at some point when it was open.

11:30 AM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A staff member called with a report of a rattlesnake. It was located in the same vicinity as we usually remove them from this property. It was moving away from the door and was beside an agave plant when I arrived. I was able to remove the snake without incident. No other snakes removed at this time.

12:00 PM		 Phoenix 85048 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner watched the snake fall into the pool and then slither out. He then lost sight of it, but it was right next to a rocky waterfall feature, so he figured it went inside there. I shinned my light in there and I saw it. I was able to put my tongs in there and grab it. The home backed up to a mountainside, and another mountainside was across the street. The yard itself didn’t have any vegetation or cover in it besides this water fall feature.

The homeowner was able to keep an eye on the snake and it remained coiled right in the middle of the driveway where the garage door meets the concrete. The snake was removed without incident. No further snakes recovered. Homeowner requests a fencing quote.

The snake started to move upon our arrival but we managed to secure the snake in a bucket. The home was on the South Mountain preserve with no fence/walls, there was nothing but open desert behind the home.

He said it slithered all over his backyard while I was driving there. The backyard didn’t have much for cover or vegetation so it was likely trying to get out. The home had a desert hillside across the street that connected to the preserve. The home had a block fence and one gate.

The lady just pulled up to take her dog in, and when she stepped out, she heard what she thought was her tire deflating. When she went to look, she saw the rattlesnake and a squirrel not moving nearby. The snake was right in front of her car. While I drove there, she watched the snake eat the squirrel and then climb into a sewer drain. It took some time, but I was able to get the snake out with its big belly filled with squirrel. The dog park is surrounded by desert.

7:30 AM		 Phoenix 85048 Sonoran Gophersnake homeowner called stating that what appeared to be a rattlesnake was curled up in the backyard and the family dog alerted them of it. When I arrived they had determined it did not have a rattle, and when I went into the back yard I could see that it was infact a gopher snake stretched out along the block wall of the back yard. I picked up the snake and secured it in the bucket for relocation. The home is located in a developed community but right along a prime wash connected directly to the south mountain preserve.

8:00 PM		 Phoenix 85048 Sonoran Gophersnake Homeowner called about an unknown snake in on of their backyard planters. When I arrived, the Sonoran Gophersnake was just poking his little head out from behind a large pot. Belly full of eggs, he likely raided a small nest that was in the planter. Home is close to the base of South Mountain and has a small drainage behind it and a small hill at the end of the street. Yard was very well kept and maintained but did have gaps in the side gate so the snake likely found his way in through there. I took the snake to a nearby park that bordered a large patch of desert and released snake into a deep rodent hole under a massive shady Mesquite tree.

They had the garage open earlier for a while they said. The home backs right up to the preserve. They had a lot of vegetation in the front yard and several bird baths.

5:00 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Staff from this apartment complex called to report a rattlesnake. When I arrived the snake was moving through a rocky area just outside the large vehicle gate. The snake appears to have suffered minor injuries from the gate as it has damage to his scales and a black grease substance on its sides. A quick inspection resulted in no further snakes recovered.

5:30 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Sonoran Gophersnake The caller reported a snake stuck in a glue (death) trap inside the garage. Upon arrival, it was clear this was a beautiful Gophersnake the snake’s head was firmly glued to the trap. With the help of aerosolized cooking spray, I was able to quickly dissolve the glue preventing the snake from moving. No other snakes were recovered.
