He was curious as to why he was seeing two this year and not one in the six years he has lived there. He is backed up to a wash and hillside. Very clean yard but inspected thoroughly. His pest control person did a bad job an snake proofing his gate. He is interested in fencing (He has one double gate on concrete and three drain blocks).

The husband is from Australia and usually relocates them himself , as he does have the proper equipment; however this snake wedged itself beneath a large jet-ski. The drainage holes have been covered with mesh and it appears to be a well done job, but the two gates are obvious entry points. Whoever did the fencing, possibly James, said that he was unable to do anything with the gates.

4:00 PM		 Tucson 85716 Longnosed Snake Customer called about a small snake found in her house. I initially went over there last night. But when I got there I watched the small snake that I identified as a longnose go up a pencil size hole in her back door. I tried everything I could to get it out with no luck. Etleast an hour and a half trying. Today she called me that the snake had left the hole and was hiding under her fan. She kept a close watch on the area until I arrived. She made a huge step in conquering her fear by keeping watch. Once I arrived I lifted the fan and was able to catch the snake. End of report.

The customers scooted it out with a broom. When they realized the snake had established its winter site there and would stay around the area they decided to call us. They placed a bucket over snake and she didn’t know what to do with it. I responded immediately and captured the snake that was under bucket. The customer found it swimming in their pool unable to escape. It’s only about 50° right now so the snake was very lethargic and generally difficult to handle on a hook because of its inability to righy itself.

When I slowly opened the lid I saw a very small kingsnake sitting in the corner. I asked the customer if he still wanted the snake removed after I explained that they are harmless. While I was driving to get it the snake had moved from her patio to a bush area right outside. When I got there she pointed to the bush area but was unsure exactly where it was. I was able to find the snake one bush over. I was able to capture the animal and place it safely in my bucket. Snake was released immediately after. End of report.

I was able to identify it immediately as a western diamondback. I captured the snake and searched the rest of yard with no further finds. The juvenile snake was released shortly after. 9:30 AM		 Tucson 85716 Sonoran Gophersnake Customer called about rattlesnake in crawl space found by maintenance employee. When I arrived I immediately identified the snake as a Sonoran gophersnake. I captured the animal that appeared to have a neck injury. I searched for a second snake that disappeared into 1 of many cave systems under building. The customer seemed displeased that we were not able to find second “rattlesnake “. But I calmed her down telling her there is no possible way to find the second. End of report.

8:00 AM		 Sahuarita 85629 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Customer called yesterday about rattlesnake that had bitten a couple of her dogs and she wanted it removed. She had an area she believed it was at but no further details. When I arrived I began looking near her brick pile. I noticed black and white bands stuck in chicken wire. I used my tongs to keep snake from biting me and also used a pair of the customers wire cutters to get the snake free. It worked very well. Snake was free and customer was happy. End of report.
