We lifted up the garden bed and it was underneath. The yard didn’t have much besides the garden and had a large wash across the street. They had an RV gate and a regular gate with a block fence.

Offered to release it back into the property since it is Armless and eat rattlesnakes bite the homeowners opted against it. It was taken to the desert nearby and released and the homeowners were given a card to help identify common snakes in the area and differentiate between rattlesnakes and Kings.

She was thin in the back with lots of loose skin, and had obviously given birth recently. She was moved to a cave nearby where I have previously seen gravid rattlesnakes and evidence of birthing.

Strong rattle taper, not agitated, did not strike or rattle.

Body temp 52° customer said he saw the snake finished eatimg a rat . They found a rat nest site near their hot tub. Their house is at the base of a mountain, surrounded by tall block wall ingress likely under side gate

The only shade was the patio and the shadow casted by the back wall. The snake was about to go on the patio when the homeowner which was sitting on the patio saw it. It went and hung out by the back wall in the shade until I arrived. They have a brick fence with just two gates and should like fencing.
