Customer was bitten and envenomated by a young, probable Western Diamondback, last week. Was doing some work on the front of the house, and was bitten in the right hand by a rattlesnake hiding in the weeds and grass. Snake was most likely near its winter retreat, and has quite possibly left to forage. Ironically customer had killed a large adult shortly before suffering his bite. Not a candidate for fencing, but educated him on snake safety and on how to reduce sightings by cleaning up debris. |

When she took the tube off the back she could see a snake sticking out. The snake was a coachwhip and its bottom half was stuck on something in the dryer. I’m not sure if by her turning it on made it get tangled but it appeared to have a broken back and I’m not sure it’ll survive. This was a three-foot snake, and the vent on the outside of the home was on the ground, and the cover fell off. That’s how it got in. There was a lot of desert surrounding this house. |
