The snake then slowly moved to some shelves on the opposite side of the garage. The home owner left the garage open and hung out in her car until I arrive.. Me and her husband took everything out of the garage and looked in every box. We found no snake I checked the front and back yard. I think it went out of the garage while it was open and into there neighbors yard.. She wasn’t positive but we think it was a gopher snake.

Property has chicken wire surrounding yard but with openings much larger than ours. Suggested reaching out to us for fencing info but customer declined until she sees another snake. House is right up against North Mountain with a small rush running alongside the yard.

Did not find the rattlesnakes.

The snake was simply coiled around the piping on damp ground. The box was tucked under a bush next to the corner of the wall. It was mostly shaded.

There was space underneath Gates on both sides of backyard with plenty of room for entry. During a quick walk-through of the yard I found multiple kangaroo rats. Informed customer of reasons why snake would be hanging out there as they had seen a snake(likely the same one) hanging out by their shed a week or so ago.

When I arrived the snake had moved to a little garden area and there was two rattlesnakes coiled up on each other. The yard was pretty bare with lots of cement but there are backed up to open land and have no protection. She would love info about fencing.

2019-09-03 7:30 AM	Phoenix	85083	Western Diamondback Rattlesnake	Snake was startled by customer and had taken refuge in a rodent burrow under a wooden bridge over small culvert in the yard and had to be flooded out. Yard is open on all sides and full of shelter, including sheds, wood piles, overgrown plants and rodent burrows, as well as plenty of birds and rodents running around and water left out for them. Customer wants rodents and birds in the yard and wants to provide as much for them as she can. Advised she can't have all the prey without seeing the predators and she understood and was okay with it. Gave her tips for when and where snakes were likely to be hanging out so she could watch out.

She was thin in the back with lots of loose skin, and had obviously given birth recently. She was moved to a cave nearby where I have previously seen gravid rattlesnakes and evidence of birthing.

The snake had been outside in the sun stuck to the glue trap for 5 hours before I arrived. When I got there the snake was still alive and moving. I took oil and freed the snake. His mouth and neck were messed up. He seemed to be dead and lifeless when I realized it.

From the pictures, one looks like a gophersnake and one coachwhip. They have several rodent holes throughout the yard. The hose is the closest to an open desert. Their garage was also left open for about a month before they moved in so the snakes could have been using it as shelter.

The snake saw her and went and coiled up in a nearby bush. That is where I found the snake. She has a view fence and right behind that is a large wash and south mountain.
