Snake was a baby but not a neonate, But likely born this season. Likely in the backyard attracted to drip sprinklers and shade from landscaping.

When I arrived whatever had been hissing was not found in the area, nor after a sweep of the yard or surrounding area. If it was a snake it likely left, or had gone into rodent hole underneath shed. Customer opted against trying to flood rodent hole. They said they would be cleaning yard up in the morning so I told them if they did see a snake at that time to call me and I would come out and remove it without additional charge.
