When I arrived I immediately identified the snake as a non venomous coachwhip. I slowly used a pair of scissors in assistance to free the snake from netting. I started at tail end and worked my way up to head. I was able to get snake free of netting. The customer was most grateful and wanted the vest for the survival of the snake. End of report. |

The yard was pretty bare with just a few small plants. The only shade was the patio and the shadow casted by the back wall. The snake was about to go on the patio when the homeowner which was sitting on the patio saw it. It went and hung out by the back wall in the shade until I arrived. They have a brick fence with just two gates and should like fencing. |

When I responded I saw the snake fortunately moved into shade from customer. The head and neck area were completely tangled in nettting. I used a scissors and slowly began cutting material off. Once I got to the head I gently gripped a bit behind the neck. The snake remained minimally stressed during the whole process. The snake was freed and released immediately afterwards. 2020-06-05 5:30 PM | Tucson | 85750 | Coachwhip | Customer called for identification of large black snake seen under there recycling bin. I responded that it was a non venomous coachwhip. They decided in best interest because of a high golfers of snakes that they wanted it removed regardless of venomous or not. I responded and was directed to the area. I moved the recycling bin to gain gain control of the snake. It immediately began striking at me. I used my tongs because of the size of snake and defensive behavior the snake was using. I used my hook to give support to the upper half of the snake. I finally got the snake in the bucket. I did a courtesy inspection with no further finds. The snake was released immediately afterwards. The snake then when under a large shed. We watered it out for about 2 hours the snake finally cane out and I grabbed it. It was a juvenile coachwhip. I did not charge him. |

They were not told that there would be a charge if it was not a rattlesnake. When I arrived I noticed that a big rock was in place where the gate had been propped open at some time. I located the coachwhip on the back patio behind a bbq cover. I educated them about not propping the gate open. Super nice people and very thankful. |

2024-04-28 2:30 PM | Phoenix | 85085 | Coachwhip | Called about a snake trapped in backyard. Customer sent photos and I confirmed it was a coachwhip and advised it was harmless. Customer still wanted it removed. I arrived and went into the backyard. Snake was in the side yard on the south side of home. Snake was laid out up towards brick wall. As I approached snake it darted past me. Spent 5 or so minutes chasing snake around the backyard. It eventually slipped into a hesperaloe and I spent another 5-10 minutes trying to fish it out of the plant. I eventually was able to get my hands around it’s tail and capture it. Snake was difficult to bucket but I was eventually able to get the lid on. Performed inspection of the backyard and no other snake found. I suspect snake entered through the side gate on the north side of home. Offered a free fencing quote and customer agreed. |

I suspected a Chuckwalla until the homeowner showed me a photo of a Gila Monster. I searched the rocks and eventually caught a large Chuckwalla, which the homeowner opted to have relocated. |
