Tucson 85746 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This homeowner called regarding a juvenile Western Diamondback Rattlesnake that he found stuck in mesh scraps in his backyard. This isn’t his first time calling us- he’s had several encounters with rattlesnakes on his property. When I arrived, the rattlesnake was already in a bucket, but still stuck in the piece of mesh. Situations like this require the proper training, tools, and patience to safely and successfully free a rattlesnake without causing harm to the snake or the individual trying to free it. I carefully and safely removed the mesh in a manner that kept myself safe and without causing any harm to the snake. Once freed, I found nearby habitat in its native range where I released it into an active packrat nest.

Scottsdale 85259 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Customer called stating a rattlesnake was seen crawling under an AC pad and then soon after saw it coming back out from the same concrete pad. Upon arrival, several workers were watching the snake and it had crawled several feet away from the ac pad into a bush. I then attempted to capture the snake in a small bush but it went into a hole. I then flooded the hole out and eventually it came back out for capture. This is a fence customer so his backyard is fenced but the home sits between 2 washes and has good habitat overall.

Phoenix 85054 Mojave Rattlesnake Some people working across the street saw the large mojave slither across the street and into this homeowner’s yard. They put it in a cooler and that’s where I got it. The community is very new not even on Google Maps yet with a lot of desert around it. The home has a partial view fence one gate. They really didn’t have much vegetation or places to hide in the yard.

Phoenix 85083 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was on her back patio, picking up a cover for her patio furniture when she saw a snake underneath. She threw the cover down and went inside and did not know what kind of snake it was. The snake was still right by the cover when I arrived, it was a baby western diamondback rattlesnake. The home has a lot of desert just right across the street. The yard is very clean with not a lot of places to hide they have an all-blocked fence with two gates.

Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner saw the rattlesnake just outside his garage door. When I arrived I could tell by how it was sitting that it was dead. It had guts coming out of its cloaca. It must have been hit by a car. The road was busy with construction workers from all the new homes being built nearby. The home has a view fence and has a lot of great habitat around. They are right by the preserve.

Glendale 85310 Sonoran Gophersnake Client called with a report of an aggressive snake on the front porch. Upon arrival, the snake was immediately identified as a Sonoran Gophersnake. In true Gophersnake fashion, it was aggressively hissing and striking. I was able to contain the snake without incident. A courtesy inspection of the front and rear yards was completed. Client was provided with advice on reducing desirability for snake activity. ie - trim large lantanas, eliminate potted plants near the entry way and keep items of the ground in the rear yard.

Gilbert 85298 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner called about a Rattlesnake in their backyard. The young Western Diamondback had curled up inside of a small trash bin and stayed there until I picked it up. Not much habitat around here so this snake was probably lucky that these people spotted it and wanted it humanely dealt with. I had to take the snake a bit further away to some better habitat but since its not even a year old it will have a much better chance of surviving being out of that area. Snake relocated into deep cover or a rock retaining wall along a canal in south Gilbert.

Marana 85743 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Neonate/yearling atrox found in a shoe on the patio newly developed area near the Santa Cruz River. Lots of toys on the patio and there were large gaps in the patio wall. Spoke to them about fencing and they were interested and requested to be contacted.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner heard her dog barking at something and then she saw the rattlesnake in her backyard. She ran inside so she didn’t know where the snake went. I searched the backyard but the snake was right by a wall gap that led to a nice desert wash behind the home. So I went back there and saw the snake coming out of a pack rat nest but when I grabbed it another rattlesnake also slithered out. I was at this house two days ago for two mating rattlesnakes in the back yard which I caught. They also said one day ago they had a rattlesnake in their front yard. Likely one of these two I caught today. The home has a view fence and a nice desert wash behind them.

Tucson 85745 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A customer called because they had a rattlesnake in the garage. I told them I’d be there soon and asked them to watch it. The snake, a healthy male young adult Western Diamondback Rattlesnake was half-coiled on a folded rug with its head and first third resting on the cooler pavement a few inches lower. According to the homeowner the snake had been lazing there for the last two days and “he won’t leave”.

Mesa 85212 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Western diamondback rattlesnake coiled up in the shade of a trench on a large job site. It is on the periphery of where a historic urban den was. It was in the middle of the site so it was likely moving all night and ended up there.

Cave Creek 85331 Sonoran Gophersnake The homeowner said they saw a rattlesnake slither across their back patio into a lantana bush. I searched the lantana and saw a Gophersnake inside. It was very dense, so I wasn’t able to grab it right away, and then it disappeared into the bush. There were a few holes under the bush and around the bush, so I started watering those out, but it never did come out. They were OK with leaving it since it wasn’t a rattlesnake. I searched the rest of the yard and did not find any rattlesnakes. They have a block fence with two gates and a gated courtyard. They are surrounded by good desert habitat next to their home.

Marana 85743 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Tenants in an Airbnb had seen a snake early in the afternoon at this property and the owner called from out of state to have us check it out. I had visited this property last year for a snake seen going under a hot tub and this call was identical. Though the witness had heard a “hissing sound” as the snake disappeared beneath the hot tub they thought it might not be a rattlesnake. After examining the yard, I found a rather dried-out-looking female Western Diamondback Rattlesnake coiled along the fence line. This property has a wash lined with dense brush directly over the fence and has multiple areas where snakes could move back and forth. A snake fence could be beneficial here.

Sun City 85373 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner\'s son was jumping on his trampoline when he noticed a rattlesnake coiled up nearby. He calmly alerted his parents who then called us to remove the snake. The brick wall around the back yard was the only thing separating the home from the very large Agua Fria riverbed. There was plenty of dense, overgrown landscaping, stacks of wood and brick, and easy access to the front yard. The snake could have very likely spent the winter sheltered somewhere on the property. I did a thorough search but did not find any other snakes.

1:30 PM
Marana 85658 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner went to let his pug out to go to the bathroom and saw a roughly 3ft Western Diamondback Rattlesnake crossing towards a shaded corner. When i arrived i noted that the home was built on the Eastern slope of a rocky hill within a larger canyon. Rocks and brush everywhere. The backyard where the snake was was a series of descending patios leading to an infinity pool. Minimal decoration so not much in terms of hiding spots. Snake was trying unsuccessfully to hide along a wall behind a decorative pot with 1/3 of its body still sticking out. Put snake into bucket. Snake fence could probably be pretty beneficial here.

Tucson 85741 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A self-storage company called because one of their customers had a snake in the storage unit. I have been here previously to remove a snake for them, only this was in an adjoining unit to the last one. There was a juvenile, apparent female and well-fed, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake hiding beneath an overhang next to the door to the unit. I was able to coax the snake out with a mini snake hook and contain it.

Cave Creek 85262 Coachwhip Wonderful couple who lives part time in Scottsdale called because they had a coachwhip and a rattlesnake in their garage. The rattlesnake they usually coexist with but they are having company next week and wanted it removed for this reason. The coachwhip was found in the garage. The rattlesnake was unable to be found after checking the garage, side yard, and backyard unfortunately. They were given education about possibly getting their garage scorpion proofed so they do not find snakes within the garage area anymore but they are okay with them in their backyard as they have no kids or dogs.

Cave Creek 85331 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowners were spending the weekend cleaning out their garage. They had left it open and found 3 birds inside that they were trying to get out by various means including a leafblower. When they were evicting these unwanted guests, they noticed another! A rattlesnake was perched unusually high (above my head level) where they hang their tools above a workbench. He may have been going after the birds as well. He was carefully taken down and relocated into a natural desert area.

Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A homeowner in Scottsdale called about a large rattlesnake curled up by her garage door. She spotted it from her car as she was coming home. Upon arrival, the snake had started to move away from the garage door and towards the desert, but I got there just in time to snag it before it could disappear. Home is right at the base of a large mountain covered in boulders and the front yard area looks like it could have many more rattlesnakes around, so I told her just to be careful especially this time of year as they are all emerging from the winter. She was completely understanding about where she lives. Snake was released into a large Pack rat nest in a nearby patch of desert away from homes.

Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The client called with a report of a rattlesnake moving along a perimeter wall in the neighborhood. Client and fellow neighbor observers watched the snake as it entered a desert plum bush on a neighboring property. I arrived on scene and searched the plum bush. The snake did not immediately alert until I approached the third quarter of the bush. It was tightly coiled at the base. I was able to remove the snake without incident. I conducted a sweep of the immediate area and the area from which the snake originated from and found a large deco boulder with significant rodent structure underneath where it could have been harboring for a period of time. This client was a repeat customer.

Cave Creek 85331 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was alerted to this backyard snake by his dog. When I arrived the snake was already contained in a large garbage can. The home itself backed up to a large wash and while there was snake fencing on the view fence, there were access points on the sides and underneath both front gates. The snake was transferred to my bucket and relocated to a large rock pile.

Cave Creek 85331 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This is a fence customer of ours but the snake was by his front door. The homeowner saw the baby diamondback stuck to a sticky trap that he had by his front door. The snake was ok and I was able to free it unharmed. He said he gets a lot of snakes and lizards in these traps by his front door. I recommend that he not keep the traps in this area because it is a high-traffic area and he is going to keep catching critters. The homeowner has some desert sections behind and beside his home and throughout the community.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner heard his dogs barking at something outside, so he went to investigate and found the two mating rattlesnakes by his pool equipment. The snakes tails were intertwined when I walked up but I’m not sure if they were actually locked up. I scooped them both up together. The pool equipment did have a hole going underneath the pad. Which could have been a spot one or both were hanging out before being seen. The home had a nice desert area right behind it but no other really good hiding place in the yard.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Rattlesnake on patio assisted living facility. By the time I got there, it had moved and disappeared. I searched the property and found a wooden pallet with remnants of a rodent nest under it covered in old cinderblocks. It looked like a den situation, so I used water and carefully disassembled the blocks. I found the snake under it and captured it. No others found, but searched the property and advised.

Peoria 85383 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was surprised to find a very young Western Diamondback coiled up in the middle of her fully enclosed entryway. The snake likely found its way in through a small gap in the weatherstrip under the exterior door. This home was situated near native desert and a large drainage, but was surrounded by homes was several lots deep into the neighborhood. The back yard was heavily landscaped with a water feature and was surrounded on all sides by view fencing making for easy access to the adjacent properties. I searched around the front and back yard but did not find any other snakes.

Peoria 85383 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake When the homeowner was trying to get in his car in the garage, he heard a rattle. He looked over and saw the rattlesnake on top of some boxes up against the garage wall. The garage didn’t have very big gaps not big enough for this snake to squeeze through so it must’ve come in when the door was open at some point. The home had a rocky hillside behind it and a lot of desert just across the street.

Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Big rattlesnake by the front door. While en route, the snake moved a short distance, but the homeowner washed it, and it was an easy capture. They said they had another snake there recently, which indicates a den. Searched the property and adjacent public areas, and found nothing, which means their neighbors likely have an issue. Advised.

2:00 PM
Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called about a rattlesnake that was on her back porch. When I arrived, the western diamondback had moved behind a large flower pot and was rattling. This was a huge yard and it was one of those neighborhoods in Scottsdale, where all the homes are equally spaced with desert all around them. Did a sweep of the yard and did not find any other snakes. The homeowner is curious about the fencing because the snake could easily enter through both gates on both sides of the house. Found a nice large desert area in between two neighborhoods about a mile south and placed the snake into a large packrat nest underneath a shady tree where the snake will be able to continue living its life.

Cave Creek 85331 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This is the neighbor but she said her next-door neighbor has 4 rattlesnakes in the yard. When I arrived, I found four rattlesnakes in the middle of the hot ground in the road with the neighbor corralling them with a long tool of some sort. Captured the snakes quickly before they died in the heat. Attempted to check the yard, but was not really able to in a meaningful way due to the insistence of the neighbor that he had already. Reasonable likelihood that there are more rattlesnakes back there. Left my phone number and information for that event.

Carefree 85377 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This is a fence customer of ours, but the snake was in the front yard. The snake was coiled up just outside the closed garage door. I checked the garage and there was a big enough gap for the snake to go in and out of the garage. I believe the snake was initially in the garage, spending the winter there, and just came out. There is a lot of desert surrounding this home in and around other homes.
