Tucson 85712 None Customer wanted piece of mind inspection for object/possible snake that has been seen twice in 2 weeks on outside of building on sky light. The pictures she sent are very dark and not 100% resembling a snake. But either way I checked all sky lights and areas a snake may be. I walked perimeter of common housing and found some tall bushes that reach the roof. There were no trees near her skylights so a branch moving across with the wind was out of the question. I did my best to find anything but had little results because I had no access to the roof. I gave some great educational advice to the customer and she greatly appreciated the advice and piece of mind. End of report.

4:00 PM
Green Valley 85614 None Customer was interested in inspection because he wanted a professionals input on how the 8 rattlesnakes got into his yard this year. He believed he had a secured common area. Upon arrival I noticed the fencing itself was 1/2 all the way around his yard. I told him that the recommendation for fencing is 1/4 inch mesh. I was also able to find 4 separate gaps that would allow nearly any size rattlesnake access to backyard. Once the perimeter fence area was checked for breaches I searched through yard for active snakes. I did not find any snakes. But there were 2 bird feeders with ground below covered in seed. In the seed I noticed rodent drippings as well. I recommended that they no longer use bird seed. I also recommended large plants including lantana be trimmed up so that they don’t provide deep shade for rattlesnakes. I noticed the yard plants all had drip systems. I informed about drip systems sometimes creating excess water. I did find a small rattlesnake skin in lantana in front yard area. Although an active snake was not found he truly appreciated the feedback given. He may contact us for fencing in the future. End of report.

Sierra Vista 85615 None Customer had concern of area he loved at because of a few rattlesnake encounters he has had since moving in, in September. He wanted through inspection of his 3.58 acres, common walled in area and garage. I started in walled area. While I was inspecting I also photographed his gates and drainage holes to send to Jill for fencing info. No finds. There was very minimal amount of work needed to do in backyard. The acreage I surveyed had very tall brush. So I used transects experience and paced back and forward to front and of property line. I did find a couple snake skins but no active snake encounters. The garage last night had a rattlesnake in it, but this morning he had the fire department come out and catch the snake. Which was a Mojave rattlesnake. For the estimate the customer will need both gates done. 1 single and a double gate. He had a total of 9 drainage holes. 6 standard, 2 horizontal and narrow holes and 1 double hole. Also noticed 2 breaches in concrete wall. 1 on side near gate and the other near a drainage hole. The customer appreciated that we were able to go that south and had pleasant experience. Tucson 85745 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Customer called inquiring inspection because 2 of his dogs were bitten sometime last night or this morning. He wanted advice how to slow down snake populations and also search for snake that bit the dogs. The house was on 1 and a half acres. I was able to cover it all. The plants were all well kept up and trimmed. Some of the drip systems were broken so he planned on fixing them. He was not interested in fencing and preferred to kill any rattlesnake he would see. He refused to listen to any and all educational points behind the conservation behind snakes. I did find a freshly killed snake presumably from the dogs that had killed a rattlesnake the same way a month before. He also told me his pest control company was going to come and put snake repellent down. I told him it was a waste of money. He still wanted them to do so even after I told him how they don’t work.
