Phoenix | 85045 | Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake | The homeowner noticed the rattlesnake coiled in her dogs run right by the doggy door. The dog had already been let out several times today so it is lucky they didn’t notice one another because it was really close to the doggy door where the dog was coming outside. The home didn’t have much cover in the rest of the yard but this area was shady and covered. The home backed up to south mountain preserve. |

Phoenix | 85029 | Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake | The owner of a home in Phoenix called after his dog alerted him to a rattlesnake near the back door of his home. The home was located between North Mountain and Shaw Butte. It was an old property with very dense, heavily watered, jungle-like landscaping and decades-old clutter surrounding a pool in the backyard. After catching the snake, I searched for others but did not find any. The homeowner is aware that his property is providing a lot of cover and a lot of water and it sits at the base of the mountain so there could be multiple snakes anywhere on the property at any given time. |

Phoenix | 85018 | Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake | The owner of an ABNB on Camelback Mountain called after one of his guests reported being bitten by a baby rattlesnake. About an hour had passed since the bite when I was contacted, and another 45 minutes before I arrived at the residence. No one was home when I arrived because they were all still at the hospital, but thanks to very specific information from the homeowner, I located the snake fairly quickly. It was very close to the area where the encounter took place. The large home was high on the side of Camelback Mountain and had a lot of atypical features compared to most other homes in the valley, consisting of a lot of rocky nooks and water features. The "yard" was very steep and integrated into the mountain. I did my best to search the rest of the property, but I did not find any other snakes. I received word that the woman who was bitten was doing well but was still hospitalized several hours after the bite. |

Peoria | 85383 | Sonoran Sidewinder | Hey small sidewinder was found floating in the pool, sitting on top of a chlorine tablet. It was very cold but alive and lucky to be alive. I searched for the rest of the property and determined that the snake is just a random event due to the location of the home and neighborhood. Recommended snake fencing installation. |

Marana | 85653 | Sonoran Sidewinder | Dog was bitten and customer called hours later. Found the snake hiding under some debris. An easy fencing job as there is one gate, one drainage, and perhaps a couple of expansion joints. |

5:00 PM |
Casa Grande | 85122 | Sonoran Sidewinder | The homeowner called about a small rattlesnake curled up by her AC unit. When I arrived, I found the Sidewinder in the same spot. Temps are about 105 right now so this shady area was likely keeping him alive. Home is right up against the open desert, and the back wall is cinderblock, so the snake was likely just stuck in the yard and unable to find its way back into the desert. Gate gaps and holes in the block wall for drainage are easy access points to this yard and likely how the snake entered. Took the snake back out into the desert nearby and placed it into the deep cover of a rodent hole at the base of a creosote bush. |

8:00 AM |
San Tan | 85143 | Sonoran Sidewinder | The homeowner called after noticing a small rattlesnake curled up in the corner near his front door. When I arrived the homeowner was inside but directed me to the front door where as described was a small Sonoran Sidewinder curled up in the left corner of the entryway. The snake was contained and I inspected the rest of the property for any other snakes. The home is located in a developed gated community but the home was on the outside edge of that community with sandy desert scrub land and natural habitat just beyond its walls on the other side of the road. The snake was brought to the area of natural desert within its home range far from the road and homes leading up to some hillsides and let go within an active ground squirrel burrow beneath creosote bushes. |

Cave Creek | 85331 | Sonoran Gophersnakes x2 | Previous customer who had Greyson flood out a Gophersnake a day or two prior. I came back and flooded two more gophersnake's out of the same hole. Likely a den situation. I was advised to give her Bryan's personal number for den advisement. She was initially worried/angry because she thought the snake that Greyson removed had returned, but given the circumstances with two extra snakes, she believed they were separate. I also compared a photo Greyson had of his removal to the snakes I caught and she saw that they were different. |

Tucson | 85710 | Sonoran Gophersnake, Sonoran Gophersnake | Customer called about rattlesnake that was 20 feet up in tree. They way she described the snake did. It seem fitting to be a rattlesnake. I asked her to send photo, but her flip phone was unable to. I responded to home in 14 minutes. When I arrived I saw the first snake crawling down tree trunk of large mesquite tree. It was a gophersnake. About 5 1/2 feet. They also said there was a second up about 20 feet sitting on branch. It began moving after I captured first one. It finally came down tree trunk like the first one making it easier to capture. I used the opportunity to capture the animal and educate the homeowners about them. They both agreed that they would have thrown rocks at them and attempted to kill the snakes had I not responded. So fortunately I was able to get them both to a more natural setting. End of report. |

Under the overhang of her home, she has river rocks pushed up against the wall, and he told her there were two large rattlesnakes underneath. When I arrived, I found two gophersnakes instead, and she was fine with keeping them around. Her yard was large but very well maintained, and this shaded courtyard area was the only real shade in the yard. Her home has some desert landscaping around it, but it’s more sporadic between the houses. |

Avondale | 85392 | Sonoran Gophersnake, Sonoran desert toad | The homeowner noticed her dog barking a different bark in the back yard. She then saw the snake and thought it was a rattlesnake. It had moved to the front yard and that’s where I caught it. While I was there, a big toad was by the front door, so I grabbed it also. The home is a corner house next to a big grassy park and a desert drainage behind the home. |

Landscaping was unkept and various holes were around in planters and dirt. Snakes could have come from numerous holes or unkept landscaping. Marana | 85743 | Sonoran Gophersnake x2 | Customer called about snake found in barbecue pit. He sent me a picture via cellphone. I identified the snake as a gophersnake. Although he was educated about the benefits of having a non venomous snake in yard he was still interested in a removal. When I arrived he told me there was a second one in same area sitting on top of outdoor mini fridge. I captured the larger of the 2 first without issue. The second moved off of fridge behind it. It then went into a different section of grill area utilizing holes on sides where wires go. It went into a drain pipe. I used a garden hose to flush the snake out. I was able to capture the second and placed it in bucket. Both snakes were released together immediately after. End of report. |
