Upon arrival, I was shown a picture and confirmed it was, in fact, a Sonoran Gophersnake. The snake was between the home’s exterior wall and the cinderblock rear entry gate. I was able to reach in there and pull the snake out safely. No additional snakes recovered. |

Anthem | 85086 | Sonoran Gophersnake | A tenant at an apartment complex called saying that he had seen two rattlesnakes in a common area near the front of his building. I arrived to find the man standing in front of a small bush. He told me that he had watched the snakes crawl into the bush and that he had been watching it ever since. I immediately saw that it was not two rattlesnakes but just one gopher snake. This was actually the second consecutive call for me, in which two rattlesnakes ended up being just one gophersnake. This apartment complex was in a heavily developed area near a busy intersection in North Phoenix, not far from I-17. It was also close to a large wash that led out into the native desert. I did not ask if he wanted to leave it, deciding that it was not a safe area for any snake to be. |

Paradise Valley | 85253 | Sonoran Gophersnake | The homeowner just moved in a short while ago. He called about a rattlesnake in the backyard. Upon arrival, I was able to identify the snake as a Sonoran Gophersnake. The yard has SOME protective measures taken, but the homeowner would like to have the fencing team come out and quote to seal it properly. No additional snakes were recovered. |

Peoria | 85383 | Sonoran Gophersnake | The homeowner was startled when she saw a gophersnake in her backyard near her pool. In a panic, but not intending to harm the snake, she managed to trap it by pinning its tail under the foot of a lawn chair. When I arrived, the snake was still pinned. The chair was not heavy, and it had only pinched the very end of the tail leaving a small impression. Holding the snake, I was able to get a closer look at its tail. There were no lesions or bleeding, and the snake was acting quite normal. The home is in a Peroia neighborhood situated very close to a mountain preserve, with several natural drainages running through out. The back yard had a pool, but no landscaping or irrigation. There was a typical arrangement of patio furniture, potted plants, and a grill. Gaps under and around her gate as well as a drain in the block wall were plenty big enough for a snake twice its size to easily enter or exit. The homeowner was interested in having these entry points covered with snake fencing. I searched the rest of the property and did not find any other snakes. |

Scottsdale | 85266 | Sonoran Gophersnake | Her landscapers saw the snake yesterday in her side yard, near her garden. It was tangled in some netting and she decided to call today to have it removed. Poor snake had been out there awhile thankfully the weather has been cool. The snake did have some scale damage where the netting was cutting into its body. It had a few eggs in its belly that got it hung up. The homeowner had a garden and backed up to a golf course with a view fence. There were patches of desert throughout the community. |

Phoenix | 85048 | Sonoran Gophersnake | The homeowner first saw the snake by his front door. It then moved to a nearby bush. There was a hole, so I put some water in there and it came right out. The home had two grassy parks by it and a desert mountainside across the street. The yard itself didn’t have too much cover a few plants out front and a shed in the back yard. |

Chandler | 85286 | Sonoran Desert Toad | The homeowner noticed a large hole on the side of her walkway leading up to her front door. She watered the hole out last night and a Sonoran desert toad came out. She google it and found out it was poisonous plus she watches our Tik toks so she knew it was harmful. I watered out the hole and after it filled up I was able to catch the toad it was the size of a tennis ball. |

Chandler | 85249 | Sonoran desert toad | The landscaper saw a snake go into a large lantana but wasn’t sure what kind it was. He said he thinks gophersnake. He tore out all the lantanas and I watered out what I thought was a hole and nothing. I caught the toad from under the lantana. I looked everywhere else in the yard and couldn’t find it. The home has agricultural fields by it. |

Phoenix | 85024 | Sonoran Coralsnake | Received a call about coralsnake in garage. Customer text a photo and I confirmed ID. Arrived at home and was met by customer and her father in garage. Noticed the snake in the trap on the north side of the garage door. The snake had wrapped itself around the door track. Customer stated that snake was hissing at them prior to my arrival. Used Pam spray and rubber grips on giant tweezers to gently work the oil on and release snake from the trap. Once free I used tweezers to place into bucket. Snake seemed somewhat docile but this was my first encounter with this species so I’m not sure if it was typical behavior. Offered property inspection but customer declined. Provided education on snake behavior and offered a free fencing quote for rattlesnake prevention and customer declined. Garage door seal was in good shape and home is brand new. |

None | 0 | Smiths Blackheaded Snake | A woman from Wells Fargo called to have a snake removed from their office building. The snake had been seen slithering across the floor but not all for quite some time after. They had it blocked off and had been watching the area. I arrived to search the area and looked under some file cabinets to find a little tongue flickering out from behind a piece if paper. I used my hook to coax him out and grab him. |

Casa Grande | 85122 | Sidewinder, delete | The homeowner saw the snake coiled by his front door. Yesterday they saw a sidewinder slither by the same door. From the video they took it appeared to be a bigger one than the one I got for them today. I looked around and didn’t find anything else. They had chickens running around the back yard with food spread all over the ground. They also had a garden with melons everywhere. They had a lot of vegetation around. They were also surrounded by wide open desert. |

6:30 AM |
Tonopah | 85354 | Sidewinder | Rattlesnake observed at the job site near the delivery office. The crew had been watching it; it remained in the same spot for several hours before they decided to call. The listed address is inaccurate and was only used because it is the closest one to the site. The job site is in the early stages of construction and is surrounded by open desert on all sides, with no homes nearby. The sidewinder appeared to be a healthy female, though relatively small for its age (estimated to be several years old based on the rattle). It did not strike or rattle and seemed quite tired, though in my experience this species tends to be more docile when captured. |

Cave Creek | 85262 | None | Aside from a handful of geckos found in irrigation holes found throughout the property, not much of any animal life was spotted. When I arrived at 6:45 the overcast was still drizzling on the property and the temperature was a cool 75 degrees. Being as the rain is still present and that the southeastern part of the property is undergoing heavy cosmetic surgery, most snakes are likely staying hidden until the storm passes and some heat comes out. At that point, I expect a lot of animal activity on the property seeing as the storms have seemed to displace a lot of shrubbery and soil, which may cause confusion and roaming onto the beautiful property.. |

Rio Verde | 85263 | None | I arrived on the Logan property at 10:30, and it was 55 degrees and windy. Unfortunately, the rain from the night did wipe out many of the indicators to correctly track and pinpoint vermin location. With that being said, it was still fairly evident that more uprooting of the landscape has escalated even further since my last visit. The photographs I included last time did a decent job illustrating the extent and severity of damage, but these photos will better illustrate the scale at which these animals are working, and how close to the household they are getting. It is crucial that some pest management is undertaken, as it would be a shame to watch these creatures destroy more of the Logan’s beautiful property than they already have |
