Phoenix 85045 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner spotted the snake slithering in her back yard. She had to leave but I found the snake coiled under a near by grill. The home is really close to south mountain. There was nothing in particular I’m this yard that that snake would be in it for. It had no vegetation or cover at all.

Phoenix 85045 Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake Snake was found by homeowner in their driveway when they went outside. By the time I had arrived it had made it's way into a wash directly next to the homeowners house and they had lost sight of it. Phoenix 85045 Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake Received dispatch about snake near front door of home. Arrived at the property and approached front doorway. Noted a pyrrhus in ambush on top of gravel facing towards front door. Utilized tongs to capture and bucket without incident. Customer stated she noticed the snake the previous day but that it retreated into a lantana near the door. When she noticed it tonight she called us. Performed inspection of back and front yards. Backyard mostly free of plant except for line of oleanders which lined the view fence on the west side of yard. Fence was on a high enough wall towards the back of the property but wall shortened down to approx 24” towards front. No fencing. Wash ran on the other side of fence and straight up the mountain. Pointed this out to customer. Offered free fencing quote and she declined. She asked about repellent and I provided education on how it did not work.

Phoenix 85045 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called and said that her small dog alerted her to a rattlesnake on her back patio. Fortunately, she was able to get the dog inside without incident. The snake was sheltering underneath a grill when I found it. I did a search of the front and back yards but did not find any other snakes. There was 1 small drain opening in the block wall along the side of the yard, likely the entry point for the snake. The home was at the base of South Mountain but located several blocks away from any sort of decent habitat.

Phoenix 85045 Tiger Rattlesnake Homeowner called about a rattlesnake curled up under a chair in their backyard. When I arrived, I was surprised to discover that it was a tiger rattlesnake. The home backs right up to the side of a mountain, but the yard is fenced. However, both side gates are not fenced and have small gaps that are likely where the snake entered. I hiked the snake back up a decent bit and found a nice large rock pile, I released the snake on the northern side of the rock pile that way it can choose whether or not it wants to be cool or warm in the coming days and hopefully it can use this rock pile to spend the winter. Phoenix 85045 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner called about a rattlesnake in their backyard. When I arrived, the western diamondback had made himself cozy against the wall behind a stack of roof tiles. These homeowners had just had us out two weeks ago to remove a large diamondback. They were quoted for fencing and will be getting it installed as this is the second rattlesnake they’ve had in as many weeks. I hiked the snake up the wash that it most likely had been moving up anyway and placed it into deep cover within a cave on the side of the wash wall, where it can continue making it its way up to it’s hibernation spot. Phoenix 85045 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner called with rattlesnake in backyard. When I arrived, this snake was curled up in some lumber from an old deck, the snake proved to be a little tricky to get out of his hiding spot, as he continued to weave through the decking boards, but eventually, I was able to secure him in the bucket and relocate him into a rocky cave on the side of a deep wash.

Phoenix 85045 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner opened his electrical box lid that was on the ground in his front yard and there was a rattlesnake in there. The lid wasn’t on very good and this was a very deep box about a foot and a half deep. The neonate would have never got out of there. There was a little rodent hole at the bottom where the snake was staying warm. The home was right off the South Mountain Preserve.
