5:00 PM		 Avondale 85339 Coachwhip The homeowner was having trouble with her dryer so she pulled it out to inspect it. When she took the tube off the back she could see a snake sticking out. The snake was a coachwhip and its bottom half was stuck on something in the dryer. I’m not sure if by her turning it on made it get tangled but it appeared to have a broken back and I’m not sure it’ll survive. This was a three-foot snake, and the vent on the outside of the home was on the ground, and the cover fell off. That’s how it got in. There was a lot of desert surrounding this house.

7:00 PM		 Avondale 85339 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner in Laveen called about a rattlesnake in her garage. When I arrived, the snake was nowhere to be found. Began moving stuff around and was able to locate the snake underneath an old bed frame. The young Western Diamondback was a long way from home as this area is mostly developed at this point and has very little survivable habitat. I took the snake a few miles away and found a nice little cave in the side of a small drainage where it should have a much better chance of surviving.

This community is not very old and has reservation land surrounding it. The yard was cleared out with no vegetation so the trash cans were the only shade source.

12:00 PM		 Arizona City 85123 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake I went to this home yesterday for an inspection because there dog had been bitten by a rattlesnake the night before. I did not find the snake yesterday but they had a big shed in the back yard which I suspected the snake retreated to. There was no seeing or even being able to get the snake out from under the shed with it intact. Today they decided to take down the big shed and under the floor board the snake was coiled up. There was a snake skin under there and a large rodent hole. I flooded out the hole and no one else came out. The home only really had this shed for cover in the yard. This community has a lot of natural desert surrounding it.

He wasn't as much as interested in a removal as much as being taught how to free animals from glue traps. I showed him how to do it and freed the animals. Price was a bit lower because I was extremely close and he wouldn't have done the job otherwise.

When I arrived I removed a total of 7 rattle snakes including the mother. I scouted the rest of the garage. The babies had already shed and there were shed skins all over the garage.

They killed both. They had a lot of piled up brush when they found those but have sense threw that away. Their yard is basically just dirt now not many spots for a snake to hide.

They said they commonly get rattlesnakes in the property and used to kill them, but now they are not allowed to for liability reasons. They will be using us moving forward. Advised them on snakes using tool sheds in hottest and coldest months of the year.

She said the snake tried to get into the bird cage which had no birds in it while I was 3 min away and she got nervous and killed the snake with a shovel. The lady lives on 20 acres in the open desert surrounded by mountains. The yard where her house is could be snake fenced so I told her that would be a great option especially since she has a new puppy. I tried to offer an inspection but she didn’t want it.

9:30 PM		 Apache Junction 85119 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Sonoran Toad Rattlesnake was found on the side of their tool shed in the backyard. They said they saw a rattlesnake the night before as well and it didn’t look like the one I picked up. I thoroughly inspected the yard and found a Sonoran Toad that they wanted me to move as well. They are a repeat customer and have had multiple removal on their property, they are interested in having someone come out and give them an estimate for fencing.

Hole in block wall on side of the house where a PVC pipe passes through.

They said they heard the snake unpeal itself off the trap. It was tucked up under the fridge and I got it. It had a chunk of skin missing off its neck. It will be ok. This was a manufactured home, and I think the snake had been under their home.
