Peoria 85308 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This business is interested in setting up an account. Received a call about a snake in the parking lot of an assisted living facility I’ve been to twice before. Customer stated that staff had eyes in the snake and would keep them there until I arrived. Once on property I was greeted by two staff members standing by a car near the main entrance of the facility which was on the east side of the property. One of the staff members stated when she arrived to work and got out of her car, she unknowingly kicked the snake and initially thought she kicked a stick. She then realized it was a snake which began moving underneath her car. Customer stated snake never rattled. I looked underneath the car and noticed a juvenile atrox with body stretched out and head raised. Snake appeared observant towards me. I utilized hook to bring the snake closer and then utilized tongs to capture. Once tonged snake escaped once and rattled briefly before coiling. Used tongs again to capture and bucketed without incident. Performed a brief inspection of the east side of the property. This was 3rd atrox I have relocated from this property with the previous 2 being juveniles and the first being a neonate. Two have been captured near the front entrance (north east side of property) which is the furthest from open habitat but I suspect snakes are coming from the Agua Fria.

Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Very nice couple who had a Yorkie terrier who has been bit 4 times previously by rattlesnakes and almost lost its leg per their report. Their dog has completed rattlesnake training and they were happy the dog was scared of the bucket and snake inside. Snake was found in their shaded walkway and the couple diligently watched snake for 1.5 hours, in a chair eating snacks, from a safe distance as directed. Apparently we had been out a week earlier and they did not watch the snake and it got away/could not be found. The couple was very happy.

They weren’t concerned about the yard being open and know it’s just part of desert living. The graves female was carefully and gently tonged into the bucket, given a drink, and released into a burrow under some dead mesquite.

Phoenix 85042 Blacktailed Rattlesnake Customer called about a Blacktailed Rattlesnake curled up on his back patio next to his grill. The back yard is right up against the northern foothills of south mountain in a neighborhood that we commonly get called out to. The yard is not snake proof and has plenty of gaps and spaces for a snake to get through, I was shocked when they told me this was their first rattlesnake they’d seen in the time they’ve lived in this home. Inspected the rest of the yard and did not find any other snakes, recommended they trim back a few overgrown bushes to help see under them better. Snake was taken out into the hills to the SW of the home and placed in a deep tunnel in a wash wall that was surrounded by plenty of shady trees and rocky habitat suitable for this species.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The rattlesnake was in the back yard, next to a fence that borders the open desert. The yard was below ground level from the open desert, so the snake likely came from there and couldn’t get back out.

Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Customer called about a western diamondback rattlesnake curled up on her front porch. Upon arrival the snake had moved into a small bush a couple of feet away. Took a while to find it, but I was able to locate the snake after about 15 minutes of very thorough searching. The front yard had several overgrown bushes that would provide excellent cover for any snake. I hiked the snake into a nearby patch of desert away from homes and placed it into a small rodent burrow underneath a creosote bush.
