Phoenix 85048 Sonoran Gophersnake The homeowner first saw the snake by his front door. It then moved to a nearby bush. There was a hole, so I put some water in there and it came right out. The home had two grassy parks by it and a desert mountainside across the street. The yard itself didn’t have too much cover a few plants out front and a shed in the back yard.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Unit 68. This is a fence customer of ours. The snake was in the driveway and was accidentally run over. The snake did have some guts hanging out but was acting fine. I took the snake to the vet to receive care. Dr. Driggers took X-rays and no bones were broken. He stitched the snake back up and said to wait a few months before relocating.

Surprise 85387 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake During the call made to us, the customer had stated he was about to move his garbage bins from his backyard to the front yard when he started hearing a loud rattle and hissing noises. After backing up, he noticed the head peeking out behind the bin, but could not identify the species of rattlesnake or size. The customer had stated he was not comfortable being near the snake or watching it until arrival due to the location of the snake and its demeanor. However, upon my arrival, thankfully the snake was still located under/behind the bin in his backyard, was gently removed from the property, and properly identified as a healthy, adult Western Diamondback. After further inspection of the property, no more snakes were found and his yards was very open and well-maintained. It is assumed that the snake was most likely there because the layout of his house offered a nice cool, shaded area on the side of his backyard near his gate. It seemed to be a newer neighborhood as well with recent construction, and many desert plots surrounding the area where the snake likely originated from. The beautiful snake was driven out of the neighborhood and hiked into a desert plot, far away enough from any roads and residential areas. Once hiked into the desert, I carefully released the Diamondback into a large pack-rat hole under a large, shaded tree/shrub.

Mesa 85203 Longnosed Snake Homeowner in Mesa called about a snake in his garage. When I arrived I spotted the Longnose Snake stuck in a glue trap in a corner near the garage door. The seal on the garage was a bit worn out and had enough space for the small snake to enter even with the door closed. I was able to free the snake relatively easy and after adjusting his jaw he seemed just fine and ready to get back out into a better place.

Surprise 85374 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The customer had stated on the call that there was a juvenile rattlesnake on her front porch in the corner and had been coiled there for a decent amount of time, unsure of the species, but would watch it until my arrival. Upon my arrival, the snake had not moved and was identified as a baby western diamondback. The customer had stated this wasn’t their first snake call and had used our company in the past, as well as for our fencing for their backyard. The snake was most likely there due to recent construction in the neighborhood/suburban expansion and being pretty close to a desert preserve. Once the snake was removed from the property, I drove out of the community and parked on the side of a desert preserve. I hiked this juvenile into the preserve, walked down a wash a decent distance to ensure it wouldn’t find its way back to a street. I then released it into a pack-rat hole under some large shrub and it went in right away.

Tucson 85748 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This homeowner called after she noticed her dog barking at something in the backyard. When she went outside to investigate, she saw a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake coiled in the corner. Thankfully, her dog alerted her of the unwelcome visitor. Thankfully the dog never got bit, but was quick to address the snakes presence. After a quick web search, she called us and I was on the road within minutes. When I arrived, the snake unfortunately moved from its original location. After some careful searching, I decided to look underneath a storage cabinet full of gardening tools. After carefully pulling each bottom drawer out, I found the snake coiled in a dark, cool corner underneath one of the shelves. I grabbed the snake, secured it in the bucket, and relocated it to a nearby wash into a deep rodent den.

Peoria 85383 Sonoran Gophersnake The caller reported a large rattlesnake in her rear yard. Unfortunately, she lost track of the snake. I was able to locate the snake during the inspection. It had come to rest/hide in a void in the cinderblock wall. I was unable to get an in-situ photo due to the low light in the void. No other snakes were recovered. I advised the client to trim the bushes and address the rodent activity to reduce attractiveness of the yard to reptiles.

No other snakes were recovered. Rattlesnake fencing was recommended, but declined by the homeowner.

Tucson 85745 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This homeowner was tending to his garden when he found a juvenile Western Diamondback coiled under one of his plants. After a quick web search, he called us and we were en route within minutes. When I arrived, the snake was still coiled- sitting in ambush. I secured him in the bucket and found a suitable nearby habitat to release the snake into. I found a large, deep rock structure that would make for a perfect release spot. The snake was released, and both parties were able to go about the rest of their day.

Goodyear 85338 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This client had us out at the beginning of the month for a large WDB by the front door. Today, she had another smaller western diamondback visitor in the rear yard. This guy had just eaten a small rat and made his way around the yard, likely looking for a new escape route. I was able to gently remove him and get him to a better locale. The client would like the fencing team to come out as soon as possible and protect her rear yard.

Phoenix 85018 Gila Monster Gila monster that was previously living in a wash directly behind homeowner's yard on the side of Camelback Mountain. They no longer wanted it there due to fear of it coming in contact with their dogs. It was the first time the homeowner had ever seen it. I explained it had likely been living there unknown for quite some time as it was an adult and they have very small territories. Homeowner would like it removed as it did encroach into their backyard area and he was uncomfortable with it in his backyard or near his home. I was able to find a different wash outside of the neighborhood with a large rocky area and plenty of boulders for coverage less than 1 mile away.

Cave Creek 85331 Sonoran Gophersnake The caller reported a snake moving through the rear yard. I arrived and the snake was under a bush and only slowly moving both due to being observed and having recently ingested a meal. This client has rattlesnake fencing and is no stranger to Rattlesnake Solutions. He was interested in how the snake may have entered the yard. I advised the client that these Gophersnakes are adept climbers and pointed out the most likely areas in which it could have made entry. I made recommendations to trim the branches protruding through the fencing along the back view fence. I also provided a theory that the snake could have climbed the bougainvillea that hugs the perimeter wall on the side of the house. No other snakes were recovered.

Glendale 85310 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Rattlesnake was found under a dumpster. It had struck a service worker while they were walking by, and the homeowners wanted it removed. They had just had a snake in March removed by us and by comparing photos, I reassured them it was a different snake. I also spent time educating on aggressive vs defensive and because it was under the trash can that was being used, it acted more defensively due to the commotion. They have gotten a quote for snake fencing from us before and are still thinking about it.

Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called about a rattlesnake on the move in her front yard. I found the snake half in a bush trying to get away. The front of the house is completely exposed to the desert with lots of open space surrounding it. The snake was relocated to the nearby preserve in a packrat nest. Twenty five minutes later the homeowner called that there was a second snake on her front porch. I went right back and found a very defensive snake stretched out at the front door. The second snake looked like a gravid female and was placed in the same packrat nest as the first.

Cave Creek 85331 Coachwhip The homeowner saw the coachwhip in his backyard several days ago. He called in, and I advised they move on pretty fast to just wait it out and it will eventually leave. Today he saw the snake again. It was in a tree and it dropped a bird and then it eventually ate the bird. And then it went under a bush. He wanted me to come get it this time just because it has been a few days and he still sees it. It was a big beautiful coachwhip, and it did have a bird in its belly. The homeowner had a lot of heavy vegetation and a well-watered yard. They also had a desert drainage behind them leading to more desert and a golf course not far from that.

Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The caller in this instance was a property manager for a short-term rental property. The guests staying in the home saw a rattlesnake coiled behind a large shed. The children observed the snake then traveling along the inside of the perimeter wall. Unfortunately, the observers lost sight of the snake after briefly leaving the area. After a brief inspection, I determined the snake had likely made its way under the shed. After attempting a flood out for a significant period of time in each hole with no emergence, I decided to tap along the base of the shed and I was able to hear the snake rattle. After much more water, I was able to coax the snake into emerging from one of the drain holes in the shed base. The snake was recovered without incident and no other snakes were removed.

Phoenix 85045 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Rattlesnake in backyard under milkweed bush. When I arrived at the home the owner was able to relocate the rattlesnake between two small potted plants butted up next to the wall in their backyard. The homeowner stated that the western diamondback had been living there all winter and they had heard it a few times since August but had just seen it today for the first time. They wanted the rattlesnake relocated since they have small dogs. I was able to easily secure the snake in my bucket and relocated off of a nearby trail.

I saw a large hole under the rosemary so I started to water it out. The snake came out and instantly started to drink a lot of water. It was a big healthy gophersnake. The home was a block down the road from the preserve. The heaviest vegetation in the yard was the rosemary which she said rabbits live in.

Phoenix 85020 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner saw the rattlesnake in his backyard last night. He took a pool net and pushed it out of his yard. He was still afraid that it might still be around so he wanted me to look. I searched in his backyard and I didn’t find the snake then I went to his front yard and nothing. Finally, I went to the side yard and the snake was coiled up next to an old target practice cushion on the ground. This home was built on a rocky mountainside. The yard itself didn’t have much cover. The snake was right by an AC unit which I think it had been under at some point.
