Tucson | 85748 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | This property was a retirement home for seniors with issues such as dementia. An area behind one of the “chalets” held a dry fountain and pool filled with large granite boulders piled on top of each other creating a great habitat for snakes. Two Western Diamondback rattlesnakes were attempting to “lock up” and I was able to put both into the bucket. |

Peoria | 85383 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Received call from an assisted living facility I had visited in August 2023. Customer stated there was a baby rattlesnake in the back of property. When I arrived staff greeted me and checked me into the facility as a contractor. Staff then escorted me to area where snake was. Once outside to a patio where I heard faint rattle of the snake. I observed a juvenile atrox in defensive pose underneath a gas grill. Patio was facing NW towards river bottom. Utilized tongs to capture snake which struck once at tongs. Once bucketed staff asked to take photos and did so from a safe distance. Staff stated that the residents of the facility have been doing a walking club and one was getting extra steps in shortly before they called when they saw the snake near the door to the patio. Staff came out when atrox moved to underneath the grill approximately 15ft away. Performed quick inspection of immediate area and noticed no other snake. I informed staff that I suspected snake came from New River as it borders a little more than half of the property in the north and west sides. The previous snake I relocated from here was a neonate. |

Phoenix | 85083 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Rattlesnake in bush they tried to get it but then it went in the bush. Upon arrival found customer and his neighbor using a 12 foot tree trimming pole to pin the back of the snake. That was taking cover in the shrubbery that lines the front walkway. Captured an average sized adult western diamondback. This snake likely entered the neighborhood through one of the open cul de sacs and got lost in the maze. It seemed to be a healthy weight indicating it had either not been trapped in the neighborhood long, or that it was thriving while it was in there. |
