I was unable to determine what it was. It was very weathered and torn to pieces. She wanted a better piece of mind so she had me come out regardless of information provided. When I arrived I was directed to the snake skin. I was able to identify it as a non venomous gophersnake shed. I searched the yard in both front and back with no finds. I flipped and flooded any suspicious areas that I could. No finds. End of report.

9:30 AM		 Tucson 85716 Sonoran Gophersnake Customer called about rattlesnake in crawl space found by maintenance employee. When I arrived I immediately identified the snake as a Sonoran gophersnake. I captured the animal that appeared to have a neck injury. I searched for a second snake that disappeared into 1 of many cave systems under building. The customer seemed displeased that we were not able to find second “rattlesnake “. But I calmed her down telling her there is no possible way to find the second. End of report.

4:00 PM		 Tucson 85716 Longnosed Snake Customer called about a small snake found in her house. I initially went over there last night. But when I got there I watched the small snake that I identified as a longnose go up a pencil size hole in her back door. I tried everything I could to get it out with no luck. Etleast an hour and a half trying. Today she called me that the snake had left the hole and was hiding under her fan. She kept a close watch on the area until I arrived. She made a huge step in conquering her fear by keeping watch. Once I arrived I lifted the fan and was able to catch the snake. End of report.

The area is very dense with established housing. I was shocked to discover a rattlesnake about 1.5-2 feet in length sitting at the top of the planter. The customer had lived in the home for 40 years and had never seen one. I inspected the remaining areas for additional snakes. None were found. End of report.

After she asked me to remove the lantana, I found the snake coiled up in the leaf litter inside the plant. The house is walled, with a yard that was only accessible through a small gap under the gate. The homeowner requested fencing for her yard.

Yard is mostly contained with some drainage holes and gates that need to be addressed.

Honestly every king I get in the Tucson area probably contains a significant amount of DNA from all 3 sub-species.

3:00 PM		 Tucson 85715 None Customer called because last night she had seen her first snake while living in Arizona for 4 years. She could not identify it and was unable to get photo so she wanted a “piece of mind” inspection. All parts of property were throughly inspected. There was very minimal hiding areas in any bush. All were groomed properly. There were no signs of any rodent activity. Gate was unsecured last night which would be a probable entry and exit point. The house was backed up to a wash and both neighbors on each side of house were very snake and rodent friendly places. It was more then likely a solitary event coming from another yard or wash. I explained some preventative measures but yard was for the most part very pristine. End of report.
