When I showed up the snake had not moved. I was able to quickly secure it and did a quick sweep of the backyard. The snake was released within a mile into a wash in a large packrat nest.

When I arrived he discovered that his dog was limping and appeared to have been bitten. Flank looked slightly swollen. Having identified where the snake was, she closed it into the garage door. Upon arrival, I located the snake as it was exiting the garage and identified it as a Lyre snake. 9:00 PM		 Tucson 85704 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was coming in from a drive when he noticed a rattlesnake curled up at the base of the side gate to the backyard. Having noticed this, the homeowner called for relocation. During relocation, the homeowner expressed that another snake is living in their backyard and I decided to go and take a look where I found a second diamondback rattlesnake. The area within is open desert from the backyard and beyond.

9:00 PM		 Tucson 85746 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Snake was curled up next to a shed in the backyard. The yard was walled with multiple gates, a swimming pool, and a small stack of sticks and other yard debris. The callers rent the property so they were not interested in snake fencing.

8:00 AM		 Tucson 85745 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called when he discovered a young Western Diamondback Rattlesnake coiled in his backyard near his garden. When I arrived, the snake was on the move, headed straight for the hose hideaway box. It managed to escape under the box, so I carefully moved the box, secured the snake, and picked an appropriate habitat nearby to release it to. A deep rodent burrow under a mesquite became its new home.

10:30 AM		 Tucson 85835 Coachwhip This homeowner called when she stepped outside and discovered a large, beautiful pink and black Coachwhip that was stuck under the flashing on the side of her house. She sent me pictures before I arrived so I could get a better idea of the situation, and the Coachwhip was wedged tightly under the metal flashing against the stucco wall. Coincidentally, when I was walking back to my van to grab some tools, I saw another large Coachwhip making its way across the driveway and slithered into nearby habitat. With the help of some hand tools and cooking spray, I was able to bend and flex the metal flashing just far enough away from the snakes body that it could begin working itself out. The snake and I worked together in unison, as I pulled the metal flashing slowly and carefully back and forth away from the wall while the snake moved from side to side, slowly gaining leverage and space to move. After a few minutes, the snake was able to free itself and slithered right into the surrounding habitat. Thankfully, the homeowner lives in a remote area of the desert with lots of great habitat, and doesn’t mind having the Coachwhip stay. In the end, the Coachwhip was able to be saved without any injuries and returned back to its native home range.

5:30 PM		 Tucson 85710 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner called when she discovered a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake coiled in the corner of her backyard. Concerned because the neighbors next door have kids that play back there, she called us to come remove it. I arrived quickly, secured the snake, and released it into appropriate habitat down into a rodent burrow within its home range.

7:30 PM		 Tucson 85748 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Snake was coiled up on top of a ground cover plant next to a large yucca in the caller’s backyard. The yard is enclosed with standard view fencing, it has a swimming pool, rodent activity, and copious ground cover vegetation especially by the back porch. The view fencing has been modified by the homeowner with chicken wire and approximately 1 foot of fine wire mesh in an attempt to prevent snakes from getting into the yard. The homeowner is very interested in a quote for fencing.

When I got there, I offered to take a Look around the general area as they’ve been previous customers before on multiple occasions finding rattlers, and I immediately found a second potentially gravid female within 5 feet of the other. The surrounding area of the home is open desert land with a minimum of 300 yards between each home. Both the front and backyard are exposed to an open desert scape.

11:30 PM		 Tucson 85756 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Manager at Homegoods distribution center called to report a western diamondback rattlesnake near the main entrance of their building. I was able to locate the snake in a bush and safely capture it. It was relocated within a mile of the capture location into thick brush after dark.

The area in which the snake was found was an entrance bait into a warehouse that is comprised of concrete with no natural coverage.

The homeowners back yard was thick with vegetation and multiple bird baths on the ground. I found the diamondback underneath the grill by the side of the house. I transferred the snake to my bucket via tongs. The snake was extremely agitated. I spoke with the homeowner about the bird baths and how they can attract snakes. The homeowner stated they had two snakes in their yard yesterday. I advised the homeowner to call again if they see another one. I cleared scene and returned in service.

The homeowner stated his wife was watering a plant in a pot out front and saw a baby rattlesnake. I located the snake and used the tweezers to transfer it to my bucket. I asked the homeowner if he wanted me to look around and he said yes. The homeowner stated he left his garage open so I looked in there and found nothing. The homeowner had snake fencing to his backyard ( not from us ). Homeowner had no bird baths or irrigation lines out front. There was sparse vegetation out front. I advised the homeowner to call us again if he sees another. I cleared the scene and returned to service.

1:30 PM		 Tucson 85756 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A worker noticed a rattlesnake coiled up near the drainage pipe on the side of the warehouse building. Having identified the snake relocation was called. Upon arrival, a second snake was identified in the area where I then went and looked around the building for any other baby snakes. Two snakes were able to be safely picked up and relocated.

11:00 AM		 Tucson 85745 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Someone had seen a snake near the corrals at this property this morning. It had gone under a metal horse trough. When I arrived, I found the snake, a skinny, young Western Diamondback Rattlesnake with a wound near its rattle under the trough. I have been here before. There is a barn that has nothing but packrat nests in and old hay in it and under it. A truly impressive amount of packrat activity.

It was able to be safely relocated into a box where they called for relocation. The surrounding area where the snake was found is open desert that connects the main road through side passages. I was able to safely secure the snake and relocate it.

11:00 PM		 Tucson 85746 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A warehouse worker was walking into the entrance to the building when they noticed a snake coiled up underneath the metal detector system inside the entrance. Having identified the snake they called for relocation. This was the fourth rattlesnake relocation within the last month. Within the previous calls, I walked the perimeter and surrounding area to look for any other snake. Each time with no success in finding more than the one identified. There’s a brief runoff area between the road and the distribution center that I would assume the snakes are coming from. I was able to safely relocate the snake half a mile away from where it was found.

9:00 AM		 Tucson 85756 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake I arrived on scene. Checked in and was greeted by a worker. This is a chemical plant. The worker stated he moved a dumpster with a forklift and saw a baby rattlesnake. I confirmed the snake was there but could not get the snake. The worker lifted the dumpster with a forklift again and with my tongs I transferred the snake to my bucket without incident. I signed out of the chemical plant and relocated the snake.

7:30 PM		 Tucson 85747 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Customer called to report a western diamondback rattlesnake in their backyard. The snake had wedged itself between the house and a brick wall, with the bricks having a good size C shape gap against the house that it could climb up. It took a while but I was able to get the snake to go back down the wall and out the bottom where it had entered by using a hose. It was easy to secure after it exited the wall. The customer has a house near a wash in a new development with direct exposure to the wash. The backyard has a block wall combined with metal fencing that is exposed to the wash. They are good candidates for rattlesnake fencing and are interested in hearing from our fencing team.

I arrived on scene and found the snake next to a potted plant. I transferred the snake to my bucket via snake pole. Snake was apprehensive and hissed. Snake seemed to have broken off his rattler. Homeowners residence is heavily surrounded by desert area. Homeowners porch provides ample shade from the heat. I relocated the snake without incident. I cleared scene and returned in service.

The door to the unit had a gap under it and they’d had lizards in there before. When I arrived I found the neonate Sonoran Gopher snake and let the customer know it was a harmless snake before I put it in the bucket.
