He thought it had left, but noticed it slither back under grill. When I arrived snake was seen coiled under grill near where the propane tank should be. It was the shadiest part of the yard. It was pretty dense in the corner with the plant, i had to use my hook to slide snake from underneath plant. I then used my tongs to capture the very defensive snake. I placed it in bucket and released immediately afterwards. End of report.

From the description from the homeowner, it seems like the snake was trying to go past the homes and into the wash, and was unable to do so. Sure enough, the snake appeared from a hole in the neighbors yard. I assisted getting her to the right spot.

The yard has snake fencing not done by us but it is done pretty good I told her about the problem areas. The fence was knocked down by there dog recently so I think the snake may have been in there yard awhile. They have 2 acres with lots of sheds and cars and shady areas for a snake to hang out. Plus they are on the foot of south mountain.

It was odd because it was a large, gravid female, crawling across lethally-hot pavement on a hot day. If the description of events is accurate, this unusual behavior is likey due to other disruption by the workers, landscapers, or a botched relocation by another party.

11:30 AM		 Tucson 85718 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Customer called about rattlesnake seen hours before call by landscapers. They showed me the general area. I went into a deep hole under an old concrete staircase. I used a garden hose and flooded area for about 5 minutes. From a safe distance I looked into hole with my flashlight and saw the 2 and a half foot western diamondback drinking water that I was using to flood it out with. I directed water flow to go to tunnel behind the snake. I used my tongs to move hose. It worked. The snake slowly slithered out so I was able to capture the snake. End of report
