She has horses right next door. Lots of vegetation and lives by near by desert. Great place for snakes. The snake was just hanging out in the shade and it was a little wet where it was laying. Appears to be a gravid female.

When I got there I pulled out two large atrox sheds and around 18 baby sheds off there back patio. I did find one adult tucked away in the corner. No babies back there. They had one adult removed last week form the fire department. I searched there whole yard and then they said they leave there garage open a lot so I looked in there and found two neonate atrox. They have a view fence and would be interested in fencing. They live on a desert small mountain hill.

Snake was warm and likely attracted to the water from the hose, climbed outdoor stairs when disturbed by homeowner. Managed to get all the way up stairs before I got there and into a corner of a planter. No evidence of rodents or any other reason snake would be attracted to the area.

2020-09-01 10:00 PM	Paradise Valley	85253	Sonoran Gophersnake, Kingsnake	Baby gopher snake and baby California king snake “curled up in a ball together” by a planter overflowing with water by the front door according to the homeowner. Called around 10 pm after spraying the snakes with some kind of weed killer. Gopher snake was dead on arrival, king snake is struggling and twitching. Front door was covered and tiled and kept cool. Landscaping was unkept and various holes were around in planters and dirt. Snakes could have come from numerous holes or unkept landscaping. Also a lot of dripping water from drip sprinklers as well as a leaking hose.
