Performed inspection of backyard. Desert wash running to SE of customer’s property. Brick wall about 1/2 meter tall with fence atop. Fence had chicken wire on it. Entire fence line had Pyracantha vines. Pointed this out to customer who stated there was nothing he could do because the vines were 10 years old and he would not cut them. Yard kept neat but many plants where snake could seek refuge from heat. Pointed out all areas to customer and provided education on snake behavior. Advised customer to be aware when he trims Pyracantha as he stated he does this often. I suspect snake entered yard from the wash by climbing up Pyracantha and through the fence.
