9:30 AM
Sedona 86336 Blacktailed Rattlesnake Received a call that a rattlesnake had been captured and placed in a snap top bucket by a neighbor. After driving to the location I learned the homeowner had put some small breathing holes in the lid of the bucket. Upon safely removing the lid the species was determined to be a Blacktailed Rattlesnake. Shortly thereafter the snake was relocated further along the same mountain the homeowners property resided under a concealed rocky overhang. Increased activity due to recent monsoon rains could potentially explain the snakes presence.

While looking at the camera she saw a rattlesnake cruising around the pen. Both goats laying just feet away. She said the snake was after a mouse that she thinks it killed. She watches our videos on Instagram so thought she could try and catch it and put it in a bucket but it rattled at her and that was enough. It was just coiled up in the pen when I got there. Scottsdale 85259 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake 3 adult rattlesnakes on the front porch. Snakes were retreating into Rosemary bush, managed to get one but the others evaded me. Customer stayed large Rosemary bush is over 20 years old. We did some significant trimming to the bush and I attempted to flood it out, but found no other snakes. I suspect that there is some sort of burrow or hole underneath the bush that the snakes disappeared into. customer is going to schedule his landscaper to come and remove rosemary bush while I am present so that any snakes found in the bush can be promptly removed. If customer calls again to schedule this, please ask for me.

6:00 PM
Prescott 86303 Kingsnake Received a call from a homeowner about a snake inside the clients house. The snake had disappeared into the nearby heating vent and the homeowner suspected a possible coralsnake but based upon the location and further description it seemed more probable to be a Mountain Kingsnake. Upon arrival, the snake had left the heater vent and had hidden behind some paper grocery bags next to a standing rack. The snake then entered the bags and I was able to safely remove the snake from the bag and into the bucket. The snake likely came in through the fireplace where a gap existed and connected to the old patio on the other side of the wall. The yard provided ample hiding places and rodents would enter the fireplace from the outside. There was also feed out for deer that likely attracted rodents and all three could give ample reasons as to the snakes presence.

The snake was dead and I’m not sure how. I think it overheated. There was plenty of shade and places for the snake to hide in the shade so I’m not too sure what happened it was perfectly intact and didn’t look like it was dead long.
