Anthem | 85086 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Received a call regarding a baby rattlesnake front yard. Arrived at home and was greeted outside by customer who was keeping watch on it. I observed a small juvenile atrox against a landscaping boulder in the front yard. Snake had three segments on its tail. Customer stated he first saw the snake stretched out along the sidewalk and when he saw it the snake made its way to his front yard where it stayed against the boulder. Inspected the rest of the property and no other snakes found. Desert was ran along the backside of customers property with the nearest entrance being four houses east of his. I suspect the snake was just moving along when it was spotted and went into customers front yard. In conversation customer disclosed recent life circumstances and I did not feel offering snake fencing was appropriate at the time. |

Phoenix | 85085 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | A staff member called with a report of a rattlesnake. It was located in the same vicinity as we usually remove them from this property. It was moving away from the door and was beside an agave plant when I arrived. I was able to remove the snake without incident. No other snakes removed at this time. |

Tucson | 85748 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Fencing customer who had recently seen two male Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes performing male combat in the yard, called about another snake. This was a skinny, older adult, female Western Diamondback Rattlesnake. The snake had hidden herself in a drainpipe poking out from a gravel bed beneath a paver. I set a hose running into the pipe at a low setting until she emerged and began to crawl towards some trash bins. The snake was placed into a bucket. |

Mesa | 85207 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner stated they noticed the rattlesnake curled up in the corner of a shaded gravel area at the front of her home as she was going to work on her bench project, which she had left there to dry. When I arrived she was able to direct me right to where it was perfectly blended in to the gravel against the home as described. The rattlesnake was easily captured and contained in the bucket. The home is located within a gated community of homes with very naturalistic desert-type landscaping and large yards with lots of desert foliage, the community sits very close to the nearby Regional Park. |

Cave Creek | 85331 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The client called with a report of a rattlesnake on the back patio. They were able to keep an eye on it until I arrived. The snake had traveled to the far side of the home by the time I arrived. I was able to remove it without incident. The homeowners have a very low view fence. I advised them to install snake fencing. They are “on the fence” about fencing. I told them I would have the fencing team reach out so they at least have the option going forward. |

Mesa | 85207 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Rattlesnake was in the front yard in a bougainvillea bush. The homeowner had a recent influx of rattlesnakes this year due to nearby construction. She was bitten by one on her property many years ago while dragging her dog away from the snake. Interested in snake fencing. Concrete wall all around the property with 1 RV gate and 1 side gate. She is worried about the concrete not being level underneath RV gate but it did not look like it was uneven to my eyes or anything out of the norm but just a heads up. |

Scottsdale | 85266 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Last night James went out to this Airbnb property for a rattlesnake under an underground trampoline. There was no access under the trampoline so he was not able to get the snake. I went out today and the maintenance crew lifted the trampoline for me so I could hop down. There were bricks down there that the snake wedged behind and with some water, I was able to get the snake out. The property had a very large yard and had a lot of state land across the street. The baby rattlesnake was healthy so I don’t think it was down there for long but it would not have been able to get out on its own. |

New River | 85087 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner called about a rattlesnake that was coiled up and resting in the shade on the side of his New River Home. He had seen the snake the driveway the night before and figured it would likely leave the area. Additionally, a fresh shed was recently found in the garage. I explained that the snake may have overwintered in the garage, which was very clean and well organized, but did have a large refrigerator and separate freezer unit. The home was on the edge of a development, with a view fence overlooking the New River wash. The homeowner had installed his own snake fencing, but there were several areas that were not adequately sealed. I searched the rest of the property and the garage but did not find any other snakes. |

Phoenix | 85048 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner watched the snake fall into the pool and then slither out. He then lost sight of it, but it was right next to a rocky waterfall feature, so he figured it went inside there. I shinned my light in there and I saw it. I was able to put my tongs in there and grab it. The home backed up to a mountainside, and another mountainside was across the street. The yard itself didn’t have any vegetation or cover in it besides this water fall feature. |

Glendale | 85310 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner called after a contractor working in the home spotted a rattlesnake eating a small rabbit in the front yard. After watching the snake for several minutes, it slipped down into a hole in the ground under a bench. I gently flooded the hole and the snake emerged soon after. Once the snake was secured in the bucket, we began to walk around the property to look for other snakes and talk about prevention. The home is just outside of the Thunderbird Conservation Park. It is a large lot with a view fence surrounding the back yard and pool area. Beyond the veiw fence is an open area with unoccupied horse stalls and a few old tack sheds. There is a wash running parallel to the property with lots of thick vegetation. Most of the landscaping on the property has only recently been planted and has not yet matured. I did a search of the garage which had a lot of boxes and other household items as the home was being remodeled. The seal on the garage door was brand new and in excellent condition. The homeowners are great candidates for snake fencing and would like to be contacted. |

When she got home around 2pm she saw the snake slithering in her grass in the back yard. When I arrived it was coiled up right by the gate in the back yard. The home didn’t have much cover in the yard. There was a big drainage behind the home that led straight to open desert. They had a block fence and one gate. |

Scottsdale | 85255 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Caller reported a rattlesnake near the front entryway. The snake made its way to a bush in the front yard, and then the homeowner lost track of the snake’s location. I was unable to locate the snake initially, however, I was eventually able to locate the snake in a large bougainvillea bush amongst the leaf litter. I advised the client to seal the drainage block behind the Bougainvillea bush, as well as the hole under their block view fence wall in the rear of the yard. |

Avondale | 85339 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Homeowner in Laveen called about a rattlesnake in her garage. When I arrived, the snake was nowhere to be found. Began moving stuff around and was able to locate the snake underneath an old bed frame. The young Western Diamondback was a long way from home as this area is mostly developed at this point and has very little survivable habitat. I took the snake a few miles away and found a nice little cave in the side of a small drainage where it should have a much better chance of surviving. |

Mesa | 85213 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Homeowner in Mesa called about a rattlesnake curled up by her front door. The young Western Diamondback was still in the same spot when I got there and greeted me with a lovely rattle. Not much habitat in the immediate area but enough for a rattlesnake to survive I suppose. Took the snake to a nearby patch of desert that will serve as a much better habitat and placed it into a packrat nest at the base of a large shady tree. |

Apache Junction | 85119 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | They initially saw the rattlesnake by their back door last night. This morning, when their cat was outside, it found the rattlesnake under some trash cans by the back door. It was a baby rattlesnake, and it had a meal in its belly. Next to the trash cans was some birdseed on the ground. It likely set up there to snag an easy meal. Their backyard was open to the desert. I did not notice any fencing, but they might’ve had some fence like structure. Their yard was pretty big. |

Mesa | 85207 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner’s pool person was cleaning the pool and looked in the skimmer and saw the rattlesnake. He shut the lid and didn’t look back. When I arrived, I lifted the heavy granite lid and the poor snake was squished and motionless. I assumed the snake was dead because it was not moving and was squished. When I went to open my bucket back up to put it in the desert the snake was moving and rattling and looked to be doing ok. It had a little gash on its neck, but I think with time it’ll make a full recovery. The home had a lot of natural desert around it. |

Phoenix | 85050 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | This was at a public dog park. The lady just pulled up to take her dog in, and when she stepped out, she heard what she thought was her tire deflating. When she went to look, she saw the rattlesnake and a squirrel not moving nearby. The snake was right in front of her car. While I drove there, she watched the snake eat the squirrel and then climb into a sewer drain. It took some time, but I was able to get the snake out with its big belly filled with squirrel. The dog park is surrounded by desert. |

Tucson | 85747 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | An employee at a cell phone store called because they had seen a rattlesnake in the parking lot of the business. The area has rocky landscaping and well-watered bushes with drip systems spaced throughout. An employee was watching the snake, which had moved from the parking lot to a shady bush, where she was half concealed, taking in some dappled sunlight. The snake appears to be a youngish adult maybe 3-5 year old and female. A Western Diamondback Rattlesnake. Her coloration is very pretty and “high red”. The snake has been eating well and looks happy and healthy. Prettiest atrox of 2026 candidate. |

Tucson | 85730 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | This homeowner called regarding a rattlesnake she found outside in her backyard near her AC unit under the gutter. This isn’t the first time this family has encountered rattlesnakes in their backyard. With Easter being tomorrow, the family was worried they wouldn’t be able to participate in their family Easter egg hunt with a rattlesnake in their yard. After calling several different places with no success, they thankfully called us and we came out to handle it. I captured the snake and released it to nearby habitat into a large packrat nest. |
