10:30 PM		 Phoenix 85044 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake While one of the company's security guards was walking around the outside of the complex he noticed a neonate Western Diamondback coiled in a corner of a concrete staircase leading up to the main entrance of the building. He then quickly notified his boss who then called us and had the guard who found it keep an eye on it. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was the size of the property it was a massive building that was right up against the nearby preserve after locating the security guard he then led me to the neonate Diamondback which was still in the same spot. I then used my tongs to secure the snake in the bucket. I suspect the snake may have come from the nearby preserve that borders the property in search of food.

9:30 AM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This is a fence customer of ours but the snake was in the front yard. The landscapers spotted the snake coiled under a bush. The front yard has a lot of dense heavy bushes. The home has a little desert patch next to it and a lot more just down the road a bit.

10:00 PM		 Tucson 85704 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner called to report a western diamondback rattlesnake in her front courtyard area. The snake had settled in close to the front door and almost bit her. She called us, and I responded quickly and captured an agitated rattlesnake. The yard has high exposure to the nearby desert, with one or two small entry points. She is a good candidate for fencing and she is interested in hearing from our fencing.

10:30 PM		 Tucson 85718 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner called to report that her dog had discovered a large western diamondback rattlesnake that had made its way into her backyard and was hanging around on her back patio. Luckily the dog seems aware that the snakes are dangerous and stayed a safe distance away. The house has very high exposure to the nearby desert, located on large plots of land with few homes in the area. The backyard has a block wall and two gates. One gate is a clear entry point for the snake, which is likely how it got in. She is interested in having our fencing team come out and assess the yard as this is the third rattlesnake found back there.

12:30 PM		 Tucson 85704 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This city park called because a snake was caught in chicken wire at their facility. The snake was struggling and had a deep wound from the fence that flies and ants were working on. I was able to free the large adult female Western Diamondback Rattlesnake and get her into the bucket safely. I will hold her in quarantine until she seems ok or not then the park will direct me to the spot they’d like her released (within homerange on park grounds).

8:00 PM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This western diamondback rattlesnake had been hanging around this backyard for a couple days. The homeowner had been waiting it out but it wasn’t interested in leaving. The snake was under a bush when I arrived and was captured without incident and relocated out to a large burrow underneath some trees.

2:00 PM		 Cave Creek 85331 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This large western diamondback was hanging out in the outside employee break area. Upon arrival, the snake had taken a defensive posture. Captured and hiked out into the desert where a packrat nest became its new home.

The snake had a big bolus likely a rabbit. It wasn’t going anywhere fast. The home had a grass lawn that he was trying to protect from bunnies. The home backed up to a part of South Mountain Preserve.

11:30 AM		 Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called after finding a baby rattlesnake coiled up in the corner of his garage near the door. We had been called out to the same house about 6 weeks ago for a small snake seen in the garage, but it was no longer there at the time of the inspection. The garage was clean, with very few hiding places. There was a gap under the garage door in the corner near where the snake was sitting. It is likely this was how it entered. I searched the front and back yards as well but did not find any other snakes. The home was just down the street from a large area of native desert.

The homeowner watched it slither around the whole front yard and then it settled under a bush. This was midday, but it was really nice outside. The yard had some heavier vegetation in the front. The home had desert pockets around it and throughout the other homes in the community. There was a good amount of desert just down the road.

3:00 PM		 Scottsdale 85258 Western Diamondback and Coachwhip Karen had workers doing some yard work around her pool when they noticed a snake within her agave plant wedged between her pool and the fence. After taking a closer look, they noticed there were two: a coachwhip and a rattlesnake literally right next to each other. Karen also had snake fencing that was installed by the previous owner. Upon inspection, i noticed many areas where rats dug under that potentially created an entryway for the snakes.

8:30 AM		 Phoenix 85024 Western Diamondback The pest guy saw the mother Diamondback coiled up by the AC unit. When I went to grab her, she zipped into a nearby large hole going under the foundation of the home. This hole went deep. I put a hose in there, and after about 20 minutes of water, I got the mother. When I went to get the hose to put it away, I saw a baby rattlesnake come out of this hole. I then continued watering for an hour, and finally it flooded up, and I retrieved five baby rattlesnakes. The home has a view fence and is on a desert hillside with more desert around the corner.

Home owner sent me a photograph to identify but could not be more specific than that it was not a rattlesnake, and gave the option to leave it in place or have us out. Home owner opted to have us come out, where it was discovered that the snake was actually a Tiger Whiptail, looking to be displaced and a bit rough from recent rainfall.

Having identified where the snake was, she closed it into the garage door. Upon arrival, I located the snake as it was exiting the garage and identified it as a Lyre snake.
