The fence he had did have 1/4 mesh around entire fence. But in some areas there were large gaps making it easy for snake to go in and out of. Also have the fence mesh was only a foot high. It was recommended that the fence be raised to a height of etleast 30 inches. It was also recommended that brush be trimmed and that pest control be utilized to control rodent population. No positive ID and I was unable to find it as they did not watch to see where it went. They would like an estimate for fencing on a courtyard. Two gates have entry points, but an apparently easy job. There is also a small gap between their fence in the backyard and their neighbors that could use some foam sealant.

I throughly searched entire front yard, backyard and garage. No snake was found. I informed customer of large hole in side gate that would allow entry to any size rattlesnake. I also talked about side drainage hole that would also be an entry point. The yard had lots of hiding places and it was recommended that things should be picked off ground and bushes and grass should be trimmed reducing shade source. No rodent activity was present. She could not identify it and was unable to get photo so she wanted a “piece of mind” inspection. All parts of property were throughly inspected. There was very minimal hiding areas in any bush. All were groomed properly. There were no signs of any rodent activity. Gate was unsecured last night which would be a probable entry and exit point. The house was backed up to a wash and both neighbors on each side of house were very snake and rodent friendly places. It was more then likely a solitary event coming from another yard or wash. I explained some preventative measures but yard was for the most part very pristine. End of report.

The house was on 3 1/2 acres with large rock piles going around entire home area and also a wash running through yard. I told him that the outside of fence area would not be possible to control the snakes Because it was very open. Common area had wall around majority. Some areas were very low to rock pile making it and access point for snake movement into common area. Along with front gate only having about 12 inches of protection. I did find some slight rodent activity and recommended pest control services be utilized. I did find a coachwhip snake skin that was fairly fresh. The skin was found near a very large cave like rock area that I flooded with garden hose in anticipation for activity. No finds. End of report.

I searched all areas of yard and where incident occurred to find nothing. There were many deep holes in many areas of yard with high rodent activity. They were given advice to have pest control assist them. Also gave advice to have bushes trimmed up. Which they said they understood. It was also instructed to keep garage and doors closed at all times while not in use. End of report.

Advice given to secure common areas was that fencing would reduce likelihood of encounters in those areas. I also recommended that the large bushes with deep shade be trimmed up reducing shade. Rodents were not an issue in common area but I still recommended having a pest control employee assist. Both residents of home agreed snake fencing was a high priority. They are leaving next week back to home in Illinois so they plan on using our services again in winter. End of report.
