Phoenix 85083 Mojave Rattlesnake Customer called about a rattlesnake curled up in front of the house. When I arrived, it had moved a few yards and was now close to the front door. I was able to retrieve the rattlesnake and relocate it to the backside of the mountain area two houses down from the customer. The entire neighborhood is under construction with new plots and is tucked into the mountains. There is also a wash directly behind the customer’s house.

Litchfield Park 85340 Mojave Rattlesnake Received call about rattlesnake in the backyard. Arrived at the property and was met by customers who escorted to the backyard. Husband was in the backyard watching the snake. Noted an adult scutulatus in defensive posture in the gravel on west side of yard. Used gentle tongs to capture snake without issue. Inspected the remaining backyard and no other snakes found. Customer stated their dog was outside who alerted them of the snake’s presence. Customer stated when he first saw the snake it was against the wall of the north side of yard. Customer stated the snake slowly made its way to where I observed it while he waited for my arrival. Snake was noted to be mellow but observant. Snake did not rattle until it was secured in the bucket. Snake was older as evidenced by sizable and uniform rattle. Yard was not large and was kept neat and mostly free of anything a snake could seek refuge long term. Upon inspection the customer pointed out two areas in the block wall that had sizable gaps in the masonry one of which I suppose a snake may have been able to get through but not easily. I suspect the snake likely entered through the gate of the side yard on the north end of the property as this is where the snake was moving towards once it was discovered. There was desert access in the neighborhood however it was ten houses to the east. Informed customer that I believed the snake entered through the gate and offered free fencing quote. Customer stated he was a contractor and would patch the gate himself. Side yard on the west end of the property had a few patches of fountain grass with a condenser drain between them with water puddling up. Pointed this out to customer encouraged customer to remove the grass as it was invasive and it would eliminate a hiding spot for a snake.

Tonopah 85354 Mojave Rattlesnake This tiny sidewinder who couldn’t be more than a very under year old, was found at a large solar panel construction site. It was released into a large well fed wash. There was a large tree at the side of the wash with a plethora of pat rack nest and ground squirrel holes.

Queen Creek 85142 Mojave Rattlesnake The young Mojave Rattlesnake had been sitting at the base of his front door. I searched around the property for the mother and additional babies, but none were found. The yard was fairly bare and the garage was very tidy, with few good hiding spots for an adult snake and a litter. I advised the homeowner to continue exercising caution, as there are very likely more babies in the general area. The snake was released into a rodent hole at the base of a creosote bush in nearby desert in Queen Creek.

Mesa 85212 Mojave Rattlesnake The homeowner was out in the garage working out when she noticed the rattlesnake coiled up by her bench. The garage had a big gap underneath that the snake likely used to get in the garage. The home has some open land around it but it’s being built up and has construction equipment on it. There were a lot of farm fields around and very little desert left.

Maricopa 85139 Mojave Rattlesnake The snake was coiled up by the back door of a model home in a new community. There were only three homes built but a lot of leveled out land that used to be this snake’s habitat. I took the snake away from the construction. There was desert on the outskirts of the community. There really wasn’t any vegetation near by. They cleared everything, the only shade the snake had was this back patio.

8:30 AM
Casa Grande 85194 Mojave Rattlesnake The rattlesnake had been seen hanging out in the same shady corner against the building for a few days. With children around and a school nearby, they decided to have it relocated since it wasn’t leaving on its own. There wasn’t much around this building, but there was some vegetation with drip irrigation, which is likely what attracted the snake. The school is surrounded by a lot of desert and open agricultural land.

Anthem 85086 Mojave Rattlesnake The homeowner was letting her dog out when it alerted her to a snake on the back patio. Her husband kept an eye on it until I arrived. When I got there, it had settled into the gap between the patio pavers and the home’s foundation. It was a young adult Mojave Rattlesnake. I searched the rest of the property and did not find any additional snakes. While the surrounding area is ideal habitat, the homeowner said this was the first snake they had seen in more than eight years.

Florence 85132 Mojave Rattlesnake The homeowner called about what they thought was a rattlesnake in their backyard. They heard a rattle but never saw the snake. When I arrived, I discovered a decent-sized Mojave rattlesnake curled up between some flower pots. The snake was released into a rodent burrow at the base of a creosote bush within its estimated home range.

Mesa 85209 Mojave Rattlesnake The homeowner called about a rattlesnake by her front door that an Amazon delivery driver discovered. When I arrived, the Mojave rattlesnake was still sitting in the same spot curled up. The home has a nice desert patch right next to it, so the snake likely came from there and just found a spot to escape the heat during the day. Snake was taken back into the desert and released into a packrat nest under a large creosote bush.

San Tan Valley 85143 Mojave Rattlesnake Baby mojave rattlesnake found in homeowner's backyard with 2 children and 1 dog. They have had no snakes for the past 6 years so it was a big surprise. The family had seen it for the past couple of days and it was not moving on as it was hunkered down underneath a large storage bin. They would hear it rattle if they went near it's spot. Snake was captured and relocated into a natural desert area with rodent activity and into a rodent hole.

Sun City 85351 Mojave Rattlesnake The homeowner went to take out his trash last night and spotted the snake under his trash can. This is an underground trash can, so he was just under the lid. This morning he still spotted the snake under the lid so he gave us a call. It started to heat up in that time the snake must have tried to get into some deeper cover and it fell into the trash can, so it could not get out at that point. I was able to grab it and save a gecko that fell in as well. The home was right by a drainage that leads to the open river bottom.

Waddle 85355 Mojave Rattlesnake A real estate company called from a new development and reported a small/baby Rattlesnake in the front entrance of the model home. The very kind agent felt comfortable enough to place a wire trash can over the small snake and place a rock over top before we could get out to them, she even took lengths to pour water on the sides for the snake during its wait for relocation. Once I had arrived I was directed to the shaded entrance where the snake was contained, and lifted the trash can to gently transfer the rattlesnake into the bucket for transport. I walked around the rest of the model home and inspected for further snakes with no others found. The community is full of new construction within an ideal desert habitat running along the White Tanks Preserve area.

Phoenix 85054 Mojave Rattlesnake Very nice homeowners who did not know who we were but their neighbor made the call for them when they found a snake in the front yard. They had the rattlesnake already contained in a plastic box with a lid when I arrived. They were interested in our services and hearing about our company. A crowd had gathered so I passed around business cards. Tim (homeowner) is living in this home temporarily for the next year while he builds his home up north. He is interested in snake fencing but not yet because the new home is not complete but will reach out in 1 year and possibly reach out for dog training as well per his wife at a later time.

Phoenix 85032 Mediterranean house gecko Call came in as a glue trap snake. The picture mysteriously looked like a gecko head, but I could also see a tail with no rattle, so I took the call. When I arrived, there were three Mediterranean house geckos piled on top of one another. This was a new, young homeowner who had just bought the house and felt very bad about the geckos and what he thought was a snake. He is going to research alternative means of pest control so this doesn’t happen again, by his own determination of the situation, which was a win. The geckos were safely taken out of the glue trap with oil and released.
