Tucson | 85741 | Sonoran Gophersnake | Tearing down an old shed and customer saw what he thought was a large rattlesnake. Under the floor boards found a 48" fat and healthy gopher snake. Multiple shed skins as well as a family of pack rats. Customer decided to let me leave the snake, but mentioned he was going to spread some rat poison in the area. I convinced him that the snake could become a victim of the poison by consuming infected rodents and the snake was relocated to some nearby habitat. |
