7:00 PM		 Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This rattlesnake had wedged itself underneath the door threshold in this Scottsdale backyard. The homeowner had stepped over it multiple times before seeing it. The yard had full-view fencing covering 3/4 of the backyard and many low bushes for this guy to hang out in. The capture required a hook to coox the snake out but then an easy grab and relocation to a nice desert spot where a man made rock pile had turned into a giant packrat nest.

9:30 PM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake North Scottsdale homeowners called with a request to relocate a small rattlesnake that was crawling through the front yard towards a drainage wash that goes between properties they were alerted by the cat showing lots of interest by the window. When I arrived the snake had already made it down into the drainage ditch that I had to slide down to retrieve it still within their property but almost to the next. I inspected the rest of the property and explained that they had been doing a good job maintaining their landscaping but pointed out a few holes that might be valuable to fill in and explained that we could easily proof their back yard. The backyard is part block wall and part view fence. I explained rattlesnake behavior and safety as well. The home is in a spacious gated community that has lots of natural habitat and desert landscaping in between the homes not far from larger plots of open natural land.

5:30 PM		 Scottsdale 85255 Sonoran Gophersnake Homeowners were so scared of the snake that I did not get to do my usual education on what attracts snakes, prevention, possible fencing, etc. They were not interested in talking so I respected their boundaries and took the snake away from their home quickly. They did say that the snake had been there a few days slithering in and out of their yard, but I did not get much more out of them of how many snakes they get a year, etc. Very nice but frightened couple.

4:00 PM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner went to turn the hose faucet on in the backyard when she noticed the rattlesnake coiled in a water box right below it that had the lid off. The hose was dripping which may have attracted the snake. The home backed up to a drainage that led to a lot more desert down the road.

9:00 AM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The renter of the house knew there was a rattlesnake living in the backyard for some time. The landscaper told he was going to kill it and that he had already killed 7 in the past year. She called us hoping we would do it for free so the snake could live. The house backs up to the McDowell Mountain Preserve & has a view fence with some really bad snake fencing. Anything that gets in will have no way out.

12:30 PM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner contacted us after a delivery driver noticed a rattlesnake coiled up in the shade near the front door. Another snake had been removed from the same porch about a week ago. This home was in Scottsdale, surrounded by native habitat and just across the street from a desert preserve. The back yard has snake fencing that had been installed by us but the homeowner did not need me to look at it as it had been looked at only last week.

1:00 PM		 Scottsdale 85260 Sonoran Gophersnake I arrived and it was a Sonoran Gophersnake that was at one point stuck to a glue trap, but freed itself and was now stuck to the floor and wall. I got it off but ended up covered in glue myself. Awkward.

9:00 PM		 Scottsdale 85255 Longnosed Snake Security guard at an apartment complex called about a tenant who said they had a “small black and white snake” in their apartment. They were able to contain it in the corner of the living room by placing a small pot over it. When I arrived I found the Longnosed Snake under the pot. The front door had gaps that the young snake could easily fit through. What was most impressive though is that this apartment was on the second floor, about 20ft up. Not quite sure how the little one managed that but either way, impressive.

1:00 PM		 Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The new homeowner said their pool guy saw the snake yesterday under the pool heater and the homeowners hoped it would leave overnight but it was still there this afternoon. When I got there I could see part of the snakes body poking out from underneath the heater, once I started to coax it out a second snake came out the other side. I got that one in the bucket and tried again with the first snake. The remaining one was clearly a gravid female and she wedged herself underneath there really good. I used water to try and flood her out while using my hook and eventually was able to grab her. This yard backs up to desert and the snakes had a perfect spot under the pool heater where the dirt was already damp and it was shaded and cool. The previous homeowners did their own snake fencing but it was old and had many gaps. There was also two holes in the wall surrounding the pool heater units that lead out to the desert. The yard is mostly open but there were a few other spots where a snake could hunker down in the future. They are interested in fencing.

11:30 AM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowners were having a FIFA soccer party when they saw a rattlesnake on their porch. They watched it go into a hole in their outdoor fridge and barbecue cabinets. After finally obtaining the snake, I found a packrat nest underneath these cabinets and lots of rat poop. They have had snakes before but did not want to have this problem anymore. They are very interested in rattlesnake fencing as soon as possible. One of the party goers said they got their fencing through us and vouched that it works perfectly.

The house backed up to open desert and the homeowner installed snake fencing had gaps in multiple locations. The snake was relocated just outside the neighborhood into a packrat nest.

6:00 AM		 Scottsdale 85255 Sonoran Gophersnake I went out to this facility two days ago. They were moving large trees that were boxed up and noticed two rattlesnakes and a gophersnake under one. They accidentally killed one rattlesnake and the other two snakes went under another nearby tree that was going to be transported. They weren’t moving it until today, so I went out to see if the snakes were still underneath. When they lifted the tree, there was a gophersnake. It had been badly injured by the moving of the tree. It does not look like it will survive. No other snakes were seen today. This facility is surrounded by desert and a golf course.

Upon arrival the mom was secured first and then a total of eight babies. This house is located across the street from the preserve with a wash that runs nearby. It is surrounded by very high walls and gates leading to the backyard.

7:00 PM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This house is one of our fencing customers, but this baby rattlesnake was found just outside the garage door in the driveway. The homeowner opened the garage and the snake crawled inside where they placed a bucket on top of it. This is a new neighborhood with lots of surrounding desert and open access to the property.

8:30 AM		 Scottsdale 85255 Longnosed Snake This is a fence customer of ours. The homeowner is out of town but her cleaning people saw a longnosed snake on top of a chlorine float in the pool yesterday. Because she was out of town and due to the time difference she didn’t reach out until the following day. The poor longnose was dead at the bottom of the skimmer. The fence and everything else in the yard looked good. She backs up to a golf course surrounded by desert.

8:30 PM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The owner of a home in Scottsdale called after seeing a rattlesnake curled up in the rocks near his driveway. This was certainly not the first snake that he had seen on the property, and not the first time we had been called out. The home is in a gated development on the side of a mountain and borders a large area of native desert. There is a large wash that cuts down the mountain just in front of the home. I searched the rest of the property and did not find any other snakes.

6:30 AM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Baby rattlesnake found on front porch that looked to be less than two weeks old. This is the second rattlesnake in 4 years. The other was found in their pool. The front yard had desert landscaping with some bushes that could be trimmed higher but it was pretty minimalistic. Encouraged her not to leave her garage door open unattended. Checked the garage and backyard and no other babies were found. Dog is already trained by Rattlesnake Ready.

10:30 AM		 Scottsdale 85255 Coachwhip The customer called about an unknown species of snake hiding behind a cabinet in the garage. Upon arrival, the snake was identified as a coachwhip and captured. This house is surrounded by desert with a courtyard in the front. The backyard has a large wall behind it with more than a 3’ drop all around it. There is one gate leading into the backyard. There was plenty of rodent activity on the property. The homeowner was not available, it was his son who made contact with us and his information is on file.

9:00 AM		 Scottsdale 85260 Nightsnake Workers at the Paradigm Technology office in Scottsdale called us after seeing a small snake inside the building. The snake was secured under a trash can until I arrived. I lifted the trash can to find a very frightened Nightsnake. After everyone got a picture and a little education about the snake and what we do, I searched around the office but did not find any other snakes.

2:30 PM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake I went to this home earlier in the day after the nanny and kids saw a snake near the front door. I met the homeowner there who did not see the snake either, he then showed me a blown-up, blurry picture of a rattlesnake. At that time I didn’t realize it was a baby who had a big meal in his belly. The snake was found again later in the day hiding in a small area under the door jam and behind a very thick doormat. I was able to secure it this time and safely relocate it. This house is surrounded by natural desert.

It was very late and they had already gone to bed before I arrived. They told me where to find the snake, and it was in the same spot waiting for me. The snake was found not far from the side gate, which had a large gap underneath. No other snakes were found.

The neonate was coiled up in the office. The doors to the office building all had little gaps under or in the center of them. Big enough for a little snake to get through. The landscapers noticed the snake slither from one bush to another as they were trimming. I was able to get the snake out from under the bush. The home has a big desert drainage right on the side of it and is surrounded by lots of desert and lots of new builds.

2:30 PM		 Scottsdale 85259 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was having landscaping done when the landscaper cut an overgrown palo verde and heard a rattle. The tree was right behind the homeowner's fence. When I got there, I noticed a packrat nest under the tree and instantly heard the rattle when I touched it. The tree was really thick so the landscaper let me use his chainsaw to cut a path to the snake. Eventually, it slithered out of the packrat nest but went deeper into the overgrown tree. After more cutting, I eventually got the snake. The home had desert all around it between the other homes and the preserve not too far away.

8:00 PM		 Scottsdale 85260 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The new tenant of a home in Scottsdale called after realizing that there was a large rattlesnake under the patio chair that she had been sitting in for over half an hour. She said that she was talking on the phone and could not identify the source or location of the loud buzzing sound coming from somewhere nearby. She is new to Arizona after moving from the East Coast, and she thought what she was hearing was a cicada. A friend of her teenage son suggested it may be a rattlesnake, and someone tilted the chair back to confirm. I arrived and was shown to the wicker chair. You could not see underneath it because it only had a 1.5-inch gap between the ground and the base of the chair. I carefully used my hook to tilt the chair backwards, and there was the snake. It had just eaten something. I searched the rest of the yard which was large with a pool and a lot of landscaping. The home is in a development across from a high school and not far from open, native desert. The snake could have easily used a series of drainages to get into the neighborhood. A block wall surrounded the entire yard. There was a gate with a gap, as well as several drains. No other snakes were found.

This massive old male was cruising around the property the entire time I was on my way. Unfortunately, this entire area is being developed so the desert that this old man used to call home is no longer there. I had to relocate him a bit further than I would like but kept it as close as possible to the capture site.

A storm was coming in and the snake ended up slithering to the front yard and that’s where I got it. The home didn’t have any plants in the yard but they did have a lot of desert across the street.

The homeowners son got the snake into a bucket but called us out to relocate. This property has a wash right next to it and both snakes definitely came from it. The yard is very large with tons of open space but also a lot of hiding spots on the patio, under patio furniture, and next to the plants. The son said his parents have discussed fencing but have not decided to pull the trigger yet.

Her community security came first and noted a hole under the stove and couldn’t see the snake. The fire department then came and said they also couldn’t get the snake. She threw a sticky pad under the stove and called us. Right before I got to her she said she heard a noise under the stove. When I looked a juvenile coachwhip was stuck to the sticky pad. I was able to get it off unharmed. She had large slider doors that did have gaps in the corners allowing this snake to get in. The home had some natural desert beside it.

She said her son was in there working out and the snake wandered in and started rattling at him. After a standoff of about 30 minutes, the snake went around the corner by the front entryway and curled up in the shade, and that’s how I found it when I arrived. This neighborhood is surrounded by desert and the snake was likely looking for a cool spot to hang out during the hottest part of the day.

They live near a fair amount of natural desert area but usually get kingsnakes in the backyard per them. I spoke with the neighbor and he said he usually shoos the rattlesnakes across the street and they dont have many problems with that. This is homeowner's first rattlesnake in 5 years.

This morning when they saw it was still there they called us out. We installed fencing here in the back but they knew the front could still get snake visitors. When I arrived the snake was behind a cabinet on the patio, I moved the cabinet and got the snake in my bucket. The patio was very shaded and this community is right across the main street from lots of open desert. There is also a mountain in the middle of the community where the snake probably came from.

5:30 PM		 San Tan Valley 85143 None Rattlesnake in hole under the concrete back porch. When I arrived I heard it buzzing, but could not see it. I decided to flood the hole, and did so for about 30 minutes. The snake never came out so we tried to dig it out with shovels for a long time but the snake was never heard or seen again. We backfilled the hole very well. I inspected the property and could not find any exit holes. Unfortunately I do not think the snake will make it. Sincerely tried my best.

Killed it and wanted to make sure no others were present underneath pallets or anywhere else on the property. Looked under pallets and through horse stalls and it was all clear. Not much else on the property to hide in. Found the dead diamondback on The other side of the wall to confirm the ID. Will definitely call us back if any other snakes show up, 1st one seen in 10 years. Not any desert real close by but plenty of desert somewhat near this area.
