Mesa | 85207 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner had a pool guy out, and he said that as he was walking in the back gate, he saw a rattlesnake making its way out of the backyard. This was an odd time to see it because it was 100 degrees out and the turf was very hot. I checked her backyard first, and she didn’t have much cover. I then went to the neighbor’s courtyard, which was very close, and found the snake coiled by their front door. The homes have a lot of desert just across the street. |

7:30 PM |
Scottsdale | 85266 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner went to grab a package off the front porch and was surprised by a rattlesnake that had decided to use it for shade. The front of the house was wide open with many access points, though the backyard had already been protected with rattlesnake fencing. The snake had just eaten something three times its size and was not very nimble, so it was an easy capture and relocation into a large pack rat nest west of the property. |

8:00 PM |
Mesa | 85207 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Homeowner called about a rattlesnake in their backyard. The Western Diamondback had settled into a small divot in the dirt between two large bushes. The home backs directly onto open desert and the yard is not fenced, so the snake likely wandered in while searching for shade and water, which this yard has plenty of. The yard has many bushes and flowing water features but is well maintained, and the homeowners understand their situation: they love wildlife but do not want venomous snakes in their yard. The snake was hiked back into the desert behind their home and released in deep cover in a wash. |

Peoria | 85383 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | A small diamondback coiled customer arrived and found a yearling western diamondback exiting the yard by climbing out of the customers inadequate snake fencing via a tree acting as a natural ladder. Captured snake and made customers aware that their fencing will not keep rattlesnakes out. Customers plan on moving |

Tucson | 85745 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | They had a previous fencing quote and reached out for a new one via email but still asked me to have people contact them about fencing. The snake was on their front porch, they previously had 7 in their yard but probably due to reducing available water and trimming the plants they had discouraged more snakes from the area and so I was only able to find a single diamondback. |

Surprise | 85387 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner went to grab an Amazon package by the front door when she spotted a young rattlesnake coiled in the corner behind a pot. The property didn’t have much vegetation, so the patio was the shadiest spot. The home is across from a large stretch of open desert. |

11:00 AM |
Scottsdale | 85255 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowners’ pest company first saw the snake and watched it slither into a hole on the back side of his grill island. He went to cover the hole when he saw a snake’s head coming out and thought there were two snakes. The snake was in a brick, not in the actual island itself, but more in the wall of it. The hole was due to erosion and wasn’t supposed to be there. I put water into the hole for about 30 minutes and the snake finally came out. I don’t think there were ever two snakes. The home has some desert directly behind it and much more throughout the community. |

Cave Creek | 85331 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner found the snake on their back patio while watering plants. When I arrived, the snake was still coiled on the patio next to a freshly watered potted plant, apparently using the cover to escape the sun and likely enjoying the water draining from the bottom of the planter. |

She brought them inside and then saw the large rattlesnake. The snake slithered around as if it were trying to find a way out but couldn’t figure it out. I caught it as it was moving along the side of the fence. The yard had some vegetation in the back that could use a trim. They had a view fence that backed up to a small desert area, and they weren’t far from the preserve. |

Peoria | 85383 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner noticed a young rattlesnake coiled near her front door. She lives on the edge of the community, with a large expanse of desert to the west, and her yard now has very little vegetation. Her dog was bitten by a rattlesnake last year, and since then she has cleared out most of her yard. She put up fencing herself because, she said, her HOA would not allow us to install it. I pointed out the problem areas in her fencing. |
