Cave Creek | 85331 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner saw a rattlesnake go into a hole by his pool. This snake had been seen three days in a row around the property. I grabbed a hose and put it in the hole, walked over to turn the water on, and by the time I got back the snake had already vacated the hole and darted into another hole nearby. I then started flooding that hole and, while waiting, walked around the pool deck. Lo and behold, the snake was at eye level up in a palm tree. The home sits on 5 acres, is surrounded by desert, and clearly has an extensive underground tunnel system. I was able to grab the snake out of the palm and release it nearby into a pack rat nest. |
